Honor Woman Amouage is a feminine fragrance that belongs to the floral-oriental group. The fragrance was released relatively recently - in 2011 by the Amouage perfume house. The composition of the fragrance is complex, as is its whole history, or rather the story of Madame Butterfly.

Once inspired by this tragic love story between a Japanese geisha and an American lieutenant, J. Puccini wrote a piece of music that thrilled many music lovers. A piece in which, with the help of beautiful music, feelings of love, loyalty and betrayal are conveyed, the finale of which was the death of a beautiful woman.

G. Puccini during his stay in London saw the play "Madama Butterfly" (Italian Madama Butterfly). He was thrilled by her truthfulness in life, and at his suggestion an opera libretto was soon written. Then the music is created. Opera by G. Puccini was first staged at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan on February 17, 1904. The public did not immediately accept a new piece of music. But three months after the first performance, the opera was a triumphant success.

At the end of the 19th, at the beginning of the 20th centuries, many artists gravitated towards oriental subjects, towards exoticism. But Puccini turned to the content of the play not to show the bright colors of the eastern country. He wanted to portray and convey feelings and touching human drama. And he succeeded, the opera became one of the most popular modern operas.

Now the creative director perfume house Amouage Christopher Chong, who himself has been studying opera for a long time, decided to reproduce this tragic story in the sounds of the fragrance. The creation of the scent was emotionally difficult, because the perfume notes had to convey the story of "... tragic love and endless devotion ...".

In the composition of the fragrance, the top notes are coriander, pepper and green rhubarb, the heart of the fragrance is white flowers: jasmine, gardenia, tuberose, lily of the valley - the best combination that embodies love and symbolizes purity and freshness, the final notes are vetiver, opopanax, amber, incense and leather.

Despite the fact that the story is tragic (Madame Butterfly said goodbye to life, not wanting to put up with the betrayal of her beloved), the flower bouquet gives the scent a true femininity. The composition of the fragrance is delicate and light, like the petals of white flowers.
