Alexander McQueen

Alexander McQueen is a British fashion designer, left this world on February 11, 2010, he lived only 40 years, but left behind a great legacy. His work will be admired for many years to come, and ideas will be borrowed. Alexander McQueen, at the age of 23, presented his first collection of clothes, and at the age of 27 he was invited to the Givenchy fashion house as a deputy chief designer. Alexander subsequently left the Givenchy house and joined Gucci Group... At the same time, he developed his own trademark - Alexander McQueen.

For all the time, Alexander McQueen was awarded 4 times - Best British Fashion Designer of the Year.

From May 5th to August 7th - 2011, an exhibition of works is being held, which includes the best and craziest works of the great Couturier. In total, the exhibition features about 100 ensembles and 70 accessories created by Alexander McQueen over 19 years. The most recent work was completed by his student Sarah Burton. It was Sarah who created princess wedding dress Kate Middleton.

Looking through these wonderful works, different thoughts visit - both admiration for the work of the Couturier and thoughts of regret. It is very sad that the world will never see new works made by Alexander McQueen himself.
