Can pregnant women sunbathe in the early stages

Today we will not talk about the benefits of tanning and the pleasures that tanning gives, many publications have been written on this topic, now I want to decide for sure whether it is possible to sunbathe for pregnant women?

What is the right way and is it possible for pregnant women to sunbathe? This question is now being asked by many girls, because the waiting time for the baby is not a reason to stop taking care of yourself, but even, on the contrary, the time when you can fully focus on your health and good mood in order to create favorable conditions for the unborn child.

Benefits of sunburn for pregnant women

If you are used to sunbathing and being in the sun is a pleasure, this in itself is a plus, because a good mood during pregnancy is of great importance. In addition, the sun's rays contribute to the production of vitamin D, which is essential for hair, nails and bones. But in fact, you do not need to purposefully sunbathe in order to provide the body with a sufficient amount of the vitamin.

Why you shouldn't sunbathe for pregnant women

We have to be completely honest - the real benefits of tanning are relaxation and pleasure, and tanning evens out skin tone, hides minor imperfections and makes us more seductive. Therefore, it is worth seriously considering the need for tanning during pregnancy.

It is known that various hormonal changes occur in the body during pregnancy. These changes in themselves can contribute to the appearance of age spots, and if you add more sunlight here, the result can be quite sad. The pleasure of relaxing on the beach will turn into age spots.

If you want to avoid such manifestations on the skin, you need to minimize exposure to direct sunlight and not sunbathe at all during pregnancy. In addition, you should wear more closed clothing and use sunscreen, given that any sunscreen lasts no more than two hours.

Even the most expensive and useful sunscreen after application to the skin, it begins to change under the influence of the sun and your body. After two hours, the chemical filters of the cream turn into free radicals. At this time, your skin begins to be exposed not only to the harmful effects of ultraviolet rays, but also to the effects of the decay products of the cream. Therefore, any cream should be applied for two hours, and then rinsed off and a new layer applied.

Two hours is enough to go shopping and return home to take a shower. If you just can't refuse a beach holiday during pregnancy - choose sunscreens with SPF 50, they block up to 98% of the sun's rays.

This can be calculated using the formula, where all the sun's rays are 100%, which we divide by the SPF index. If the cream has an SPF of 50, then we divide 100 by 50 and get 2%. It is these 2% of ultraviolet radiation that penetrates the protective screen of the sunscreen. Only 2%! We seem to be under full protection, but during pregnancy, even these 2% can cause age spots.

Conclusions: you can sunbathe only in early pregnancy, using a high-quality sunscreen with an SPF 50 index. We must not forget that the cream protects from the sun for only two hours, after which it turns from a helper into a pest. In addition, you should not go to the beach during the period of maximum sun activity, from 11:00 to 16:00, and in general you should not be under the sun for a long time.

Remember that during pregnancy - tanning lays down faster and stronger than usual, so pregnant women need less time to tan. It is not easy to calculate the permissible tanning time for a pregnant woman, it is best to be under an umbrella or a canopy and only go out in the sun a little - this will be enough to enjoy the beach and a healthy dose of ultraviolet radiation.
