German supermodel Vera von Lehndorff (Veruschka)

Germanic Countess Vera von Lehndorff has gone from an aristocrat and prisoner to the first supermodel in fashion history. Vera added a diminutive suffix to the name and became Verushka. It was under this name that she reached heights in her modeling career and became famous. But then Veruschka moved away from real commercial fashion and preferred art.

Veruschka's photographs are an excellent example of the combination of fashion, modeling and real art, and therefore serve as a source of inspiration for many designers, photographers and models. She dedicated collections - Karl Lagerfeld, Michael Kors, Helmut Lang, Paco Rabanne and others, and the cosmetic brand "MAC" even released a lipstick Veruschka.

Vera was born on May 14, 1939 in the family estate in Königsberg (now Kaliningrad, Russia) into an aristocratic family. After leaving school, she entered a school that trained fabric artists for textile factories. Only the environment of the educational institution turned out to be too difficult and she went to Florence to study drawing. In the late 1950s, Veruschka wanted to create the image of the ideal girl, once she saw her, it would never be possible to forget.
