Legends say that in Europe during the years of the plague epidemic, a plant was found, often found near monasteries, which, as they were later assured, helps to recover from a terrible disease and restores health to a person. Paracelsus considered angelica even a panacea, convincing doctors of its effective power against many diseases. In modern medicine, it has been proven that the plant cannot heal from the plague. Probably, people of the Middle Ages not only the plant saved, but also faith in God, because people believed in God's help, and, as you know, "... according to your faith, let it be for you ...".

Today angelica or, in Russian, angelica is valued both in medicine and in perfumery. Its oil is included in many culinary recipes, serves as an additive in confectionery, and is also used to flavor alcoholic beverages such as liqueurs.



And one more unsurpassed healing property of angelica (angelica). Essential oil controls the level of uric acid in the body, and therefore is used to treat rheumatic diseases, arthritis and gout.

The cosmetic effect of angelica oil is also appreciated. It is a good skin tonic with anti-inflammatory properties. Therefore, it is used in the treatment of dermatitis and even fungal diseases.

Although oil is found in all parts of the plant, it is obtained from the seeds and roots by steam distillation. The oil yield, depending on the starting material, is obtained from 0.1 to 1.8%. Oil for some of us is a strong allergen, therefore IFRA introduced a limitation on its concentration in perfumery and cosmetic products - up to 3.9%.
