Fragrance in perfumery

Osmanthus has long been included in the main components of perfumery; it takes pride of place both in the heart of the fragrance and in the sillage. It is used in the form of an absolute, which is obtained from a plant that has golden orange flowers. Osmanthus absolute is a very expensive raw material, therefore it is used only in the most expensive perfumery.

Many people compare the smell of osmanthus with the smell of peaches, apricots and plums. All these fruity sweets create a velvety aroma with spicy notes of leather, as if sweet aromatic fruits were stored in a suede purse. The scent of osmanthus is a delight that evokes joy and happiness.
