Gloves with prints from the Empire style

Recently, designers have been experimenting with gloves, mostly in terms of shape and cut. At the same time, it is not easy to find gloves with decor and especially prints. And during the Empire style, models with prints or, in other words, printed gloves were popular.

In the 19th century and earlier, these gloves were often gifted to express feelings. The most popular prints were images in antique style - various cupids, nymphs and goddesses... Some gloves were ordered for memorable events and events, this made the accessory especially relevant at a certain time.

The gravure printing technique was used to apply the pattern to the leather, so the prints have survived to this day. The gloves in the photo are about 200 years old and look like interesting museum pieces, not fashion accessories. Only nothing prevents from making modern gloves with prints. The fashion industry has many new technologies for applying designs and prints to leather and suede. Such gloves can be an interesting element of the image.
