Eau de parfum Portrait of a Lady

Portrait of a Lady is a Oriental Floral fragrance for women. The perfume was released in 2010. Its creator is the perfumer Dominique Ropillon. The composition of the scent contains cloves, rose, cinnamon, raspberries, black currants, sandalwood, patchouli, incense, amber, musk and benzoin. The aroma is persistent, a gorgeous expensive rose, clothed in incense, sounds in it for a long time. Dominique Ropillon chose roses from Turkey and achieved a strong sound.

This fragrance is the embodiment of feminine sensuality, a portrait of a seductive and sophisticated woman, beautiful and confident, noble and aristocratic. Portrait of a Lady is a complex fragrance, so not everyone can understand it. But in any case, he is extraordinarily beautiful and created to be admired.

It feels aristocratic and austerity, it creates an atmosphere of the sublime and beautiful. You want to breathe it in and enjoy it. The aroma beckons, slowly opening up, and sounds for a long, long time.

If all this is about you, if this is your portrait, then the scent will be understandable and, most likely, you will like it. Frédéric Mull's perfumes are eloquent images. And Portrait of a Lady has its own beautiful prototype. This is a supermodel of the 50s - American fashion model Dovima. Working on this fragrance, Frédéric Malle and perfumer Dominique Ropillon presented a portrait of a beautiful woman who once admired many photographers.

The September 1955 issue of Harper's Bazaar fashion magazine featured a photograph of "Dovim with Elephants" by Richard Avedon. The model was in an elegant black dress (the first work of the then unknown 19-year-old boy, Dior's new assistant. His name was Yves Saint Laurent).

Dorothy Virginia Margaret Juba, whom the fashion world recognized as Dovima, supermodel 50s embodied the ideals of beauty and style of those years: elegance, luxury, aristocratic coldness and restraint.

Frederic Malle is a successful publisher and editor who, together with his perfumers-writers, publishes noble and modern fragrances that are unlike others. On the contrary, his fragrances copy, follow his bold experiments.

And Dominique Ropillon loves to explore the components, and despite the rules and conventions, create compositions that sound delightful and unique. And as you can see, this approach of the publisher and perfumer pays off. Their joint perfumes are perfect.
