And even if they were not princesses by birth, they undoubtedly became princesses in spirit.

Grace Kelly was born on November 12, 1929 in America. Her roots are Irish and German. She was born into a fairly wealthy family. Her father, John Kelly, was in the construction business. On the mother's side, Grace was surrounded by creative people. Her mother, Margaret Mayer, was a fashion model in her youth. By the way, Grace's uncle, George Kelly, was a famous playwright, winner of the Pulitzer Prize (prize in literature, journalism, theater). In addition to Grace, the family had three more children - Peggy, John and Lisanna. Grace studied at a Catholic school, and her father was an ardent Catholic.

Then Grace Kelly studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. In her youth, she auditioned for many roles, but she was invited exclusively to roles in advertising. And only in 1949, she finally gets to Broadway, where she plays in Strindberg's play "Father". And in 1951 he played a cameo role in the film "14 hours". Grace strove to achieve everything herself.


Grace Kelly received her Oscar as best actress supporting the role in the film "Country Girl" (1954). In this film, she played the girlfriend of an alcoholic singer embittered with life. For Grace, the fame of the actress of adventurous films was fixed. She played in more than one film by the famous director Alfred Hitchcock.


But she became famous not so much as an actress, but rather as a princess of Monaco. Rainier III Grace met her future husband, Prince of Monaco, during the filming of Alfred Hitchcock's To Catch a Thief, which was filmed in Monaco. Their wedding took place in April 1956 and Grace immediately announced that she would no longer act in films.


Prince Rainier and Grace had three children, two daughters - Caroline Margaret Louise and Stephanie Maria Elizabeth, as well as a son, Albert II, now the ruling prince of Monaco.

Prior to Rainier Grace, she wanted to connect her life with a fashion designer of Russian-Italian origin Oleg Cassini, who is also known for wearing Jacqueline Kennedy, wife of US President John F. Kennedy. But Grace's parents were against their relationship, both because of Oleg's numerous divorces, and because of their significant age difference. Oleg Cassini was born in 1913.

One of Grace's first lovers was the model Herbie Miller. Yes, and Grace herself more than once at the beginning of her career worked as a model.


Then she dated actor Alex D'Arcy for a while. Grace also met with Don Richardson, her teacher at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. It was he who picked her an influential theatrical agent - Eddie van Cleave. But Don Richardson could not stand the test of a family dinner in the Kelly family. Grace's father John Kelly - Irish and Catholic, could not accept a Jew into his family, and even a divorced one. The father did not approve of the next groom of Grace - Clodius Charles Philippe. Grace also had an affair with a real eastern shah, Shah Pahlavi. But the final choice of Grace, nevertheless, fell on the Prince of Monaco. Grace Kelly's life ended in tragedy. On September 13, 1982, she was in a car accident. Grace, who was driving the car herself, suffered a stroke and lost control.
