Spring-summer 2020 trends in women's fashion

We have already studied the fashion trends of the spring-summer 2020 season, but in the endless stream of information it is not easy to keep everything in memory. Plus, there are some trends that deserve to be remembered again. Today stylist Alexandra Ilinykh will help us.

So, let's figure out what the designers suggest to us to wear in the spring-summer 2020 season.

1. Tropical print

The main print of summer 2020 can be safely called a bright tropical print that reminds us of warm countries and relaxation. Vines, whimsical flowers, birds and rainforest dwellers adorned the outfits of the models at the Dolce & Gabbana, Louis Vuitton, Valentino and Versace shows.

2. Puffy sleeves

This trend is already well known to us from the last season. Puffy sleeves, popular in previous seasons, do not lose their relevance in 2020. Designers showed us all sorts of options: from hypertrophied puffs to softer and more feminine lanterns. Such sleeves will add lightness, airiness to the image, while making it memorable. We are inspired by the shows of Louis Vuitton, Givenchy, Chanel, Versace.

3. Denim. Total denim

This season, designers offer us to combine denim with denim, preferably one shade. This trend reminds us of the style of the 1990s.

4. Long denim skirt

Denim skirts are always relevant, and this season was no exception. Long skirts and midi skirts presented in the collections of Celine, Givenchy, Stella McCartney became a real hit in 2020.

5. Black and white geometric print

In the spring-summer 2020 season, prints made in the form of geometric patterns will be relevant. Combined models will look interesting and fresh, at the same time alternating stripes of different widths and directions, stripes and peas of different sizes in one set. This geometry has been seen on shows by Valentino, Chanel, Balmain, Stella McCartney, Alexander McQuee, Stella McCartney and many others.

6. Animal print

The designers decided that the animal print, which has been at the peak of popularity for several seasons in a row, will remain with us in 2020. When choosing clothes with a predatory print, you should pay attention to the leopard, tiger stripe and zebra - these are the animals most often found among designers.

7. Suits with vests

The 70s fashion returns, and with it classic three-piece suits with a vest: with shorts like Max Mara, or trousers like Burberry. It is also worth noting how designers offer us this season to wear such suit vests: both over clothes and directly on a naked body - simply and seductively.

8. Sharp corners of collars

Another attribute of the 70s - shirts with sharp corners of the collars, were seen by many designers in the new season. Paco Rabanne turned out to be very bright and extravagant, who used shirts with sharp corners of the collars, complete with psychedelic prints and drawings in his sets, while Victoria Beckham turned out to be more restrained. Beckham suggests wearing a wet brick or cappuccino-colored shirt with such collars over a turtleneck, both with trousers and skirts.

9. Tie Dye

Tie Dye print is a pattern on fabric in the form of paint streaks, which is obtained by dipping a knitted garment into paint. The print became popular in the 70s thanks to the Hippy. Today, both bright options for such colors and pastel colors are relevant, and designers recommend that we use such a pattern with blurred borders not only on T-shirts, skirts and tops, but also on evening dresses.

10. Minimalism

Minimalism is back in fashion! If you are tired of a riot of colors, as well as a variety of prints and trendy trends, designers have prepared interesting models for you, which are distinguished by their monochrome image, clear lines and simple cut. Nothing extra!
