Even ordinary people like to be smart and say that we have no doctors, and Russian hospitals can be called death hospitals. Creepy stories are constantly being told on social media and pictures of hospitals are shown that resemble a field hospital during the Second World War.



In 2019, I had to deal with our medicine, I underwent examination and did a laparoscopy. My relatives and friends also came across Russian medicine. Someone got a pacemaker for free, another was successfully treated for a stroke, and he fully recovered. Many people I know asked for help in 2017-2019.

And my friends did plastic surgery, I will not list which ones, the list will turn out to be very long. The main thing is that everyone is happy with the results. But today I will not tell my experience, I would like to share a story about our medicine from the plastic surgeon Ekaterina Kudinova.

Moreover, this growth is calculated in tens of percent. Why are these people going to Russia? Oddly enough, for world-class medicine.

The material and technical equipment of Russian hospitals and clinics is now no different from European and American ones. The qualifications of practicing doctors are also in no way inferior to foreign colleagues, and in some cases even surpasses it. Moreover, the cost of the same procedure in the West and in Russia may differ several times.

For example, heart surgery in the United States costs 10 times more than in Moscow or St. Petersburg, and in vitro fertilization in Russia will cost 3 times less than in Europe or Israel. An important plus: no one in our country would even think of looking at a patient's passport, while in a number of countries there is a strict ban on IVF after 40 and even after 35 years.

Demand speaks of quality

Russian ophthalmologists, dentists, orthopedists and plastic surgeons are in great demand among foreign patients. Yes, yes, today more and more residents of Europe and North America come to our country in order to have rhinoplasty, mammoplasty or facelift for themselves.

Foreigners in Russian medicine are attracted not only by the low prices and qualifications of doctors, but also by the individual approach to each patient. In Europe and the United States, doctors act strictly according to a template, even in cases where deviations from the rules will only benefit. Domestic specialists, on the contrary, demonstrate great flexibility and readiness to make adjustments to the treatment plan after identifying certain nuances of the patient's body structure in the process of diagnostics.

In the same plastic surgery, the quality of services provided within the country has long been equal to that of foreign clinics, and in a number of cases, patients who are accustomed to performing operations in Europe, Israel and the United States, not being satisfied with the result obtained, turn to Russian specialists with a request to correct other people's flaws.

I know what I'm talking about. I also have such patients in my practice. For example, not so long ago, Inessa, who resides in Australia, turned to me for help, with a request to eliminate the results of an unsuccessful lifting. The second teacher is me. A curious and at the same time indicative detail: initially I was invited to these courses as an assistant to Dr. Casoli, but in the very first days of work it became clear that my qualifications were much higher than initially assumed and my status at the University of Bordeaux had to be revised.
