BAKUCHIOL CRAVE Eye Cream

Unexpected, right? The first cream from the BLOM brand! And it contains one of the most coveted components of recent times - ultramodern bucachiol!

Retinol is known to be one of the most powerful anti-aging ingredients. But it does have side effects and chemical instability in cosmetic formulas. That is why BLOM specialists create a cream with its plant equivalent - bakuchiol, in honor of which the product got its name. It is obtained from the seeds of Psoralea Corylifolia, also known as Indian butterfly, with its pale purple flowers and widespread in Western Asia. This herb is very popular in traditional Chinese and Indian medicine.

Bakuchiol has all the beneficial properties of retinol, but without the undesirable effects of flaking, irritation and increased sensitivity of the skin to the sun. BLOM is one of the few to use this substance in Russia, importing it from the United States.It is a natural ingredient with clinically proven action against many signs of aging: loss of tone, wrinkles, age spots, thinning, dull complexion and dryness - it stimulates the transport of water to the epidermis, increasing the distribution of skin hydration. In June 2018, the British Journal of Dermatology published an independent clinical study (https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/bjd.16918) involving a group of 44 volunteers. They applied bacuchiol cream and retinol cream for 12 weeks.

Scientists found that both components strongly smoothed superficial wrinkles and reduced hyperpigmentation (by blocking melanin synthesis), with no noticeable difference between the two. Experts have come to the conclusion that bakuchiol has a similar effect to retinol, but it is better tolerated by the skin - without redness and tingling.
