At the same time, the suit is less and less often seen on men. In fact, this is a great loss, because the right suit transforms a man. It would seem that there is nothing easier than buying a men's suit. However, at the sight of the presented variety, the question arises, how to choose the same one?



Here are a few rules, following which, you will not go wrong and will feel at your best.

The first thing to consider is your style. If you have a strict business style, then it is better to give preference to a pair suit, where trousers and a jacket are made of the same fabric. If your style is more relaxed, then the fabric can be different in color, print and texture.



If you want to visually expand the shoulder line, then choose a jacket with shoulder pads; in all other cases, it is better to pay attention to options without shoulder pads. In this case, the shoulder seam should not come down or squeeze you, it should go clearly along the highest point of the shoulder.



The length of the sleeve should end at about the outer wrist bone, and the cuffs of the shirt should be visible from under the sleeve of the jacket by about 1.5 cm.



The jacket itself should cover the buttocks, in the traditional version, or be up to the middle of the buttocks, in the more modern version. It all depends on your comfort and preferences.



The width of the lapel should match your body type. The most versatile option will be the medium size. Wide lapels are suitable for men with a large face, narrow if the face is thin.



Remember that your trousers do not have to gather in an accordion, so you should shorten them if necessary.



An important rule is that the last (bottom) button of a jacket should always be unbuttoned.



However, the perception of the whole image is influenced not only by a properly selected suit, but also by accessories. The very first thing worth talking about is the belt. In a strict business style, the belt should match the shoes; in other situations, match the belt in color and texture to the overall look. Choose wide ones only for jeans, and classic ones exclusively for trousers.



Socks are the next most important accessory. In the classic version, the color of the socks is matched to the color of the shoes or trousers. That being said, you can add zest to your look by wearing bright or printed socks. For a special evening out, silk socks are perfect. It should always be remembered that white socks will be a win-win for sporty styles, other times you should be careful.



When choosing a tie, two questions immediately arise - length and width. The tie should end in the middle of the belt buckle. If the tie has a straight end, then it should reach the buckle. The width of the tie should match your body type and be about the same width as the lapels of your jacket. At the same time, you should not choose a set of a tie and a pocket square, they should NOT be made of the same fabric. As for the color, then it should be richer than the color of the shirt, and if you have a light suit, then choose a tie in muted shades, for a dark suit - bright colors.



The tie is complemented by a clip. It can play both a functional role and be a separate accessory. The tie clip is usually located between the third and fourth buttons of the shirt, approximately at the level of the side pocket of the jacket. If you want to make the image more daring, then place the clip not horizontally, but with a slight slope.



As an alternative to a tie, I suggest using a bow tie. Here it should be remembered that the edges of the butterfly should not go beyond the width of your face, so as not to create the effect of a clown, and the width of the butterfly itself should be approximately equal to the width of the shirt collar.



It is impossible not to mention such an important subject of a man's image as a watch. Here, of course, it all depends on your attitude to the watch and personal taste, the main thing is that they are proportionate to your hand. And do not forget that smart watches are better left for more relaxed looks, and for strict business it is better to choose classic options.
