Quite a long time ago, at one point, I realized that the information that we, make-up artists, everywhere repeat about competent make-up remover, and cosmetologists, in turn, about cleansing and all its stages - though many are postponed in their heads, but somehow haphazardly and I would even say spontaneously. This is because many people confuse the concepts of "makeup remover" and "cleansing".

And this happens due to a lack of knowledge. That is why you often skip makeup remover, rinsing off cosmetics with gels and foams for washing, or, oh God, generally fall asleep with makeup on your face. And then we are absolutely sincerely surprised, as if by chance, at the rash, dehydration of the skin and its dull color that appeared on the face, or even we begin to attribute terrible properties to cosmetics, which, of course, it does not possess in reality. But what, as they say, just do not believe when this happens to the face!

In fact, both of these concepts refer to the ritual skin care... But, since we are considering only these two specific concepts, I will note that the concept of "cleansing" is broader and includes "makeup remover" and direct cleansing (washing).

Correct makeup remover: what it is and how to do it

Makeup remover - This is the cleansing of the face from cosmetics and impurities.

Make-up removal must be performed using special means. Since we have already found out that simple foam for washing does not apply to such products, we will dwell in more detail on makeup removers:

• Let's start with the most common remedy - micellar water. This well-known transparent "water" is actually a water-based lotion, containing micelles (fatty acid esters) that dissolve greasy impurities and makeup without destroying the protective barrier and lipid structures of the skin. Micellar water removes long-lasting make-up well, but for a waterproof one it is better to use another product.
  
  
• But hydrophilic oil is already designed to remove very dense, long-lasting makeup... It belongs to the new generation makeup remover. It should be applied with massage movements on dry skin. On contact with water, it turns into a light serum and is washed off with water without leaving any greasy residue.
  
  
• Cleansing milk is also applied to dry skin with a cotton pad, on which all the makeup remains afterwards. It dissolves makeup and removes flaking.
  
  
• Let's not forget that there are also oil-based makeup removers (oil-based). It is a semi-oil product that, when still, will apparently separate from the rest of the cleanser. It copes very well with persistent cosmetics, the main thing is not to forget to shake it before applying it to the face with a cotton pad.
  

But no matter which make-up remover you choose, you need to understand that it is impossible to fully cleanse the skin from both make-up and other contaminants with just one tool.

Skin cleansing rules

For direct cleansing the skin there are various means for washing your face. Regular cleansing of the skin removes residual particles of makeup, sebum and dust, and maintains the balance of beneficial microorganisms on the surface of the skin. The right skin cleansers prevent pore clogging, remove the stratum corneum of cells, and improve the absorption of beneficial ingredients from skin care products.

These products are selected according to the type of skin and are used daily. These include: cleansing gels, foams and balms specially designed for the skin of the face.



And it is also very important not to forget to wash your face not only in the evening, but also in the morning, because during the night the skin also produces sebum, and particles of room dust settle on it.
