We are sure that after the Haute Couture Week in Paris, the brides were inspired and rushed in search of the very “dress of their dreams”. Indeed, this season many decent and original wedding looks have appeared on the catwalk, which have already become an almost obligatory part of the couture collections of fashion houses.



Many eminent designers presented their interpretation of the image of a modern bride: from the king of luxurious outfits Zuhair Murad to the main newsmaker of all fashion chronicles of Demna Gvasalia. We decided to simplify the task for all brides who, perhaps, already have enough stress, and have collected the main wedding season trends autumn-winter 2021/2022:

Minimalism

Modern brides are increasingly abandoning voluminous dresses with tulle and crinoline, and are moving towards minimalism. This trend has been well tracked at the shows from Paris Haute Couture Week. Model Margaret Qualley (daughter of the famous American actress Andie MacDowell) in a laconic ivory wedding dress closed the show from Chanel.

The creative director of the Balenciaga brand Demna Gvasalia also chose a minimalist style for the wedding look in his first couture collection. The designer presented to the public a white dress made of silk satin and gazar, completely covered with a massive veil.

"Dresses are not for one day"

The trend towards sensible consumption has also made its way to bridal fashion. Today, brides are increasingly abandoning lush dresses, which, as a rule, are sent to hang in the closet after the celebration. Instead, they choose practical outfits that can be worn after the celebration, for example, to events or even to work.

Sasha Novikova recently married rapper Feduk. For the wedding ceremony, she chose a laconic suit from Bottega Venetta, which she can wear in everyday life. This image immediately scattered across glossy publications and fashionable publics. He fell to the soul of many and collected many rave reviews.

Mini Dresses

We have already determined that today's brides are increasingly choosing minimalism and sensible consumption. Another positive trend in wedding fashion, which we managed to come to, is comfort.

Today, girls are more likely to choose the length of mini and low-heeled shoes (sometimes even sneakers), in which it will be convenient to have fun and dance, than outfits with a long train and high-heeled shoes.

Haute Couture Week in Paris was not without a wedding mini. This trend was used in their couture collections by Iris Van Herpen and Alexis Mabille.

We have to admit that this trend is by no means new. Audrey Hepburn also chose a delicate mini dress for her second wedding with the doctor Andrea Dotti, which she complemented with low-cut ballet flats and a scarf.

Classic lace

Lace dresses are a timeless trend in wedding fashion. From year to year, this material does not lose its relevance. Agree, it is difficult to imagine something that will be more organic, stylish and at the same time elegantly look in a wedding dress than decor in the form of high-quality lace.
So this season, lace dresses have not gone anywhere. Many brides willingly choose such outfits for themselves, because there are a lot of options here: you can wear a modern mini-dress, or the classic version of the maxi length, fluffy or fitted, vintage or modern.

For example, Italian model and designer Georgia Gabriele recently married her lover in a chic off-white lace wedding dress with an open back and a long train. The outfit was created by Virgil Abloh himself, so it was not without modern author's details. On one of the sleeves of the dress appeared the inscription "Here is the hand of Andrea" (the groom of Georgia), embroidered with red threads.

The niece of the legendary princess Diana Kitty Spencer also just recently went down the aisle in a classic lace dress of incredible beauty from the Dolce & Gabanna fashion house.

Luxury

Quite a controversial trend. Especially if you remember the beginning of the article. But, despite the massive craving for minimalism and comfort, not all brides today choose simple and laconic outfits.

Some girls want to feel like a princess on a special day for them. Therefore, they give preference to dresses, which, by their very appearance, personify the words "luxury" and "chic". The fact that voluminous outfits with decor, in the form of precious stones and hand embroidery, have not disappeared, is also proved by the couture collections from the Haute Couture Week in Paris. Outfits reminiscent of works of art were presented in their collections by such eminent brands as Zuhair Murad, Elie Saab and Fendi.
