Chinese clothing and its real value for China

My childhood and adolescence fell on the period of the collapse of the USSR. In those days, the standard of living in Russia was extremely low - markets and shops were flooded with goods of the worst quality. Many of the goods were generally of incomprehensible origin, but the country of origin of most of the goods was clear. China supplied Russia with the cheapest Chinese clothes, household appliances, electronics, and in general everything that money can buy.

Years passed, the Chinese economy grew, the quality of goods also increased. Nowadays, many products of Chinese origin are of acceptable quality. Comparing clothes from China and analogues made in other regions, Chinese clothes are far from always worse. Over the past years alone, many have left a steady rejection of everything Chinese. No matter how hard I try to rethink and change the image of China in my mind, I can’t erase from my memory the Chinese markets, where everything is littered with cheap low-quality clothes made of dubious fabrics.

I cannot forget this, and even now, when the Chinese economy is praised everywhere, the successes of Chinese entrepreneurs are admired, I have a bad attitude towards everything that is produced in China. Well, I just can't begin to take Chinese clothes seriously and with confidence, Chinese electronics and Chinese cars.

From time to time I reflect and analyze how it turns out - China is such a large economy, one might say it is already the first in the world, but trust does not come in any way. For example, information about economic problems in the countries of the European Union is published everywhere, but despite this, I have great confidence in clothes and other goods produced in Europe. How is it that the Chinese have the largest economy, buy up houses, shops, hotels and warehouses in Europe, literally whole streets, but still there is no trust in Chinese goods? What is the price of economic victories for this unusual country?

China is a rich country with a constantly growing economy, but how rich are its citizens, how do they live, in what conditions? How comfortable is life for the average Chinese? Let's reflect and at the same time see a photo of ordinary China, not the Pudong area.

Shanghai - Pudong

Shanghai City District - Pudong

If you go on a trip to China, you can see in what poverty and despair 90% of the population lives. They work for little pay, live in dire conditions and, most importantly, have very dim prospects. If a Chinese does not work at state enterprises, upon reaching retirement age, he will not be paid a pension and will have to rely on children, they will have to serve the notorious glass of water to the old Chinese. And many Chinese people have no more than one children, due to the law and circumstances. There are more children in the countryside, but China's countryside is another story altogether. Chinese peasants resemble people who came from the distant past, they work a lot and hard, just to survive, just to survive ...

Many Chinese people live in containers

And in the city? It is not profitable for the average Chinese in the city to have 2 or more children, which means that when he grows old or gets sick, he will have to rely on the only child, who by that time himself may be burdened with work so that he will have no more time and energy for anything. You can still hope for your savings, which the average Chinese does not have, and will not be in the near future.

The Chinese are hardworking people, they work hard, while patiently enduring hardships and hardships, they hope that their children will live much better than they, but how exactly it will be is difficult to say.The Chinese economy is making its progress through the brutal exploitation of human labor and the merciless use of natural resources. At the same time, they save on everything: on the salaries of workers, on the quality of materials, making products harmful to health, and they also save on treatment facilities and technologies, due to which the nature of China is polluted. If the development of the Chinese economy continues thanks to such principles, the Chinese will leave to their descendants the valleys of death, where chemical waste destroyed all living things.

Environmental pollution, China

It turns out that there is no Chinese economic miracle, and the Chinese model of the economy is built on the cruel exploitation of people on the principle that people are cheap consumables, like cartridges in inkjet printers. The only difference is that the printer cartridge can be refilled, and it again fulfills its function. A person is simply written off into waste material, and this is what the development of the Chinese economy is based on. Although it is quite possible that in the future everything will change for the better, and ordinary Chinese will live no worse than in Europe, but these are only distant dreams, but for now, China is a world factory that produces affordable goods of different quality for the whole world, thanks to the merciless exploitation of its citizens and nature.

This article was not written to condemn the policy of the Chinese government, because I understand perfectly well that there are no miracles, including economic ones. Great economic successes come with great difficulty.
