You can rinse in another way. It is enough to dissolve a few drops of ammonia in a glass of cold water, then put your jewelry in it for just 30 minutes. After this time, remove the jewelry and rub it with a flannel cloth or soft toothbrush. After that, put it back in water with ammonia. After a few minutes, take out your jewelry and wipe it off with a dry flannel cloth or paper towel. And they will again play with all the lights of the rainbow.

Additional cleaning is sometimes required if the jewelry is heavily soiled. The fact is that under the influence of friction, dust and grease are quite strongly attracted by diamonds. Take a match or a toothpick, wrap a piece of cotton wool, dip it in the ammonia solution and wipe the especially dirty places. Then rinse and dry with a soft cloth.

Special means for cleaning jewelry or special impregnated wipes are also used.

There are also so-called ultrasonic baths for cleaning diamonds with special cleaning agents. But this cleaning is not suitable for all diamonds, since under the influence of vibration, microcracks, if present in the stone, can transform into a large crack.

Never wash your hands in diamond rings in chlorinated water - the stone can tarnish and the metal is corroded by chlorine. Also, don’t wear jewelry with diamonds to the fitness center, and at home they must be removed before training. They are meant to be admired and best done in the evening light. Although diamonds are a very tough material, they should not be tested for toughness. Microcracks may appear on them and from this they will lose their shine. Jewelry can be severely damaged by contact with chemicals, as well as with mercury, sulfur and iodine - stubborn stains are formed.
