In Soviet times, mimosa appeared on sale at the very end of winter, as a symbol of the approaching spring and the holiday of March 8th. Golden fluffy flowers, like the rays of the sun, cheerful and energetic, evoke a smile and joy. Mimosa cheers up and creates a sunny atmosphere. These flowers bring a sense of inner warmth.

In the first days of spring, every house to which a sprig of mimosa was brought is filled with joy. Mimosa is very popular in the south of France - here, in Cannes, in February they organize an annual holiday dedicated to this flower. It was here that the mimosa bush was first planted, which was introduced in the 19th century from Australia. Mimosa is a thermophilic plant, it does not require special care, as long as the temperature does not drop below +6 C °. Therefore, it grows in the southern regions of Europe, in the Caucasus, from where it is brought to Russian cities by March 8th.

Mimosa oil is obtained by solvent extraction from flowers and twigs. Its aroma is complex, not quite floral, somewhat tart, suitable for sensitive people. In aromatherapy, it is used to relieve stress and has a calming effect. Mimosa is also used in selective perfumery to create perfumes of bright spring or summer mood, it is used as a fixative.
