Why films no longer bring vivid impressions

Almost all sites now publish Oscar reports on the front pages. Journalists and editors compete to create intriguing and enticing headlines, admire the actresses' dresses, and of course discuss the films themselves.

But let's remember all the significant films of recent times and think, are there many really worthy films that can bring pleasure and change our lives? The media constantly publish lists of films that supposedly will change our lives, but personally, most of these "masterpieces" brought me only disappointment. One gets the impression that cinema has degraded and depreciated.

Why is this happening - technologies are developing, people are accumulating more knowledge and experience, and cinema no longer brings vivid impressions? Perhaps it's all about accessibility and a wealth of choice. The more films are made, and the easier they are made available, the less satisfied the viewer feels.

In the late 1980s, at the end of the USSR, the acquisition and viewing of a film on a VCR was in itself a striking event, then people watched almost all films with great pleasure. Now every schoolchild can put on headphones during lessons and watch on the smartphone screen any movie that he downloaded on the Internet for free.

Today, all films are publicly available, actresses are less and less different from ordinary women from the neighboring yard and shine with chic dresses only during the awards ceremonies. Therefore, now there are fewer and fewer people who can enjoy movies and even more change their lives.

In general, cinematography has depreciated, films are gathering a large number of viewers by inertia. People need to somehow rest, to lead some kind of accessible cultural life. But I already want something more than just watching. Perhaps technology virtual reality will be able to change everything, and then films will start to bring vivid impressions again, until virtual reality becomes commonplace ...
