All glossy magazines only talk about individuality in fashion, but in reality it is not. Most people do not have individuality and truly their own opinion in the field of style, beauty and in general consumption.

If you look around in reality, and look in social networks all over the world, you can see millions of similarly dressed girls. Regardless of the country and city, we see girls everywhere in affordable cheap clothes. The notorious jeans, T-shirts and, most importantly, monotonous cheap shoes, ranging from sneakers to slip-ons.

Slip-ons are lightweight and comfortable shoes without fasteners and lacing, they are literally created for lazy people who are too lazy to even tie their laces. At the same time, slip-ons are very cheap shoes, and this is also pleasant for many. Looking at slip-ons and other modern shoes, at bags made of leatherette and plastic, you notice with sadness that modern fashion is becoming more simple, primitive and cheap in terms of cost.

Of course, well-known brands will not sell us a leatherette bag and a fur coat made of faux fur for their real price, they'll rip off for these cheap things to the fullest. But thinking people understand the deception - all this synthetics with a primitive design should be cheap.

Striving for minimalism, simplicity and comfort comes at the expense of beauty and style. Therefore, the current processes in fashion lead to degradation in cultural and aesthetic terms. This is reflected in everything - contemporary art, which is not art at all, music performers without talent and voice, actresses with the appearance of ordinary ordinary aunts.

Where will this lead us? It is unrealistic to predict the future, but one thing is clear that these trends will intensify in the near future. Fashion editors are constantly talking about individuality, and people around are dressing simpler and cheaper, because most have no individuality, and it is much more convenient for business to produce primitive shoes and clothes, inspiring the consumer that these things are the embodiment of design excellence.

Nobody wants to talk about this for the time being. For example, Alber Elbaz was recently fired, now he began to lecture at design schools and talk about how ugliness comes into fashion, which supplants true beauty. Why didn't he talk about it before when he was working? Did he not see this ugliness or was he simply afraid to speak the truth in the most free democratic society?

It is unfair to blame exclusively the owners of fashion brands for this phenomenon, they are in fact part of the global world system and correspond to its realities. And modern realities are as follows - a person must believe in his freedom and individuality, but at the same time a modern person has less and less time for himself and for the soul, for admiring beauty in all its manifestations.
