Today I want to talk about the middle-level deception, namely about various holidays and sales. On days like these, many sellers try to cheat and manipulate prices. In general, this seems like a small trick, but on the scale of platforms like Aliexpress, deception is calculated in huge amounts.

November 11 is a very interesting and promising holiday - World Shopping Day. This is a very young holiday that came from China, where in the late 2000s the Alibaba Group carried out a marketing ploy called "World Shopping Day", they have since decided to repeat the sale.



On this day, discounts of up to 50% or more are promised, but in life everything is different and resembles the Black Friday sale in Russia. This sale was remembered by many with loud promises, but in reality, only the most stale goods were sold with a significant discount.

Many sellers raised prices a week before November 11 in order to cross them out and put a price at a discount, which in some cases is not less, and even more than the price of September - October. For example, one of my purchases was paid on October 16, the payment amount was 10,200 rubles, and if I wanted to wait for World Shopping Day and buy this thing on sale, I would have to pay 13,400.

It turns out that on the day of the sale, the purchase is more than 30% more expensive! And this is not the only example. There are always several dozen items in my shopping cart on Aliexpress, and in a strange way, on November 11, I was not able to see a really profitable price reduction.

Of course, one cannot say that everything sellers on Aliexpress so cunning and deceiving buyers. Some things are sold with real discounts, but in any case, it is very unpleasant when sellers deceive your expectations so much.

Although personally, I, on the contrary, are very pleased that purchases were made before this "World Shopping Day", and much cheaper.

Therefore, I advise you not to pay attention to such advertised sales, often these days you can pay more. It is much better to study products and prices regularly on normal days, and make a smart decision to make a purchase. Most things will not disappear anywhere, because we live in a time when there is an excess of goods, and only things from limited collections, antiques, collectibles should be bought as soon as possible.
