Miroslava Duma and the illusion of freedom in modern society

Every reader of women's sites knows Miroslava Duma. You've probably already heard what happened to her. In recent years, Miroslava has worked hard for the good of the fashion industry, developing useful projects and ideas. It seemed that everyone in the fashion world loved and respected her. But there was one small oversight and now Miroslava is only condemned.

Let us recall the essence of the scandal once again ...

Miroslava Duma showed on Instagram an invitation card sent by Ulyana Sergeenko to the show of the collection. In it, the designer quoted rappers Kanye West and Jay-Z and jokingly called her friend niggas. "To my niggas in Paris," read the lettering on the envelope, which contained a reference to Kanye West's song NP (Niggas in Paris).

One post on Instagram with such an insignificant cute joke was enough to start a scandal.

Ulyana Sergeenko and Miroslava Duma

Any reasonable person understands that Ulyana Sergeenko and Miroslava Duma are far from racist beliefs. They perfectly relate to people with a different skin color, and one single word that they clung to was not quite thought out, but with warmth and hospitality.

The behavior of the fashion community clearly demonstrates that it is not much different from the society of the Middle Ages, where there were prohibitions and restrictions on freedom, and when someone broke the rules, he was condemned and punished. It's just that the rules are different ...

Once in the United States and Europe, it was possible to boldly insult blacks and people with non-traditional sexual orientation, but it was impossible to insult Christian values. Now the landmarks have changed - you can scoff at religious values as you like, but do not touch blacks and homosexuals.

Today blacks and sexual minorities have become a kind of shrine about which you can only say good things and express admiration. But where, then, is this notorious freedom? It turns out that the amount of freedom is approximately constant, if in some way we are given more freedoms, in others they impose restrictions and create new prohibitions. Moreover, all these prohibitions have an explanation, they were established ostensibly for the common good.

Therefore, you should not indulge yourself with the illusion that we live in a free world. Our society is not free at all. New restrictions are being created everywhere, new stereotypes are being built, stupid laws and beliefs are being established, which at any moment can turn against any of us and tear to pieces for the amusement of the crowd.
