When the heating season comes, the skin is faced with two problems at once - a strong dryness of the air in the premises, and the simultaneous contrast of temperatures when going outside. Usually, she begins to react to this with various unpleasant sensations - contraction, redness, severe dryness, peeling and irritation. How can we help our skin and get rid of quite pronounced, unpleasant symptoms during this period? I would like to recommend you several remedies that will successfully help solve these cosmetic problems.

Winter cosmetics and skin care in winter - my personal experience and advice.

Garnier Toner Basic Treatment for dry and sensitive skin (1) - will help the already dehydrated, dry skin acquire a drop of life-giving moisture. Apply this toner to your face in the morning or indoors in the evening - it works great against dry air and leaves the skin feeling hydrated for a long time. I regularly use it in rooms with central heating, and my skin responds to me with gratitude - the feeling of tightness disappears instantly, the feeling of dryness disappears for a long time, and instead the feeling of comfort and deep hydration remains.

If you decide to use this tonic before going outside, then it is better to apply it 30-40 minutes before going out, and then use a protective nourishing cream. Although, why exactly nutritious - modern cosmetology has successfully learned to produce moisturizing creams designed for winter care, which perform 2 functions at once - moisturizing and nourishing. Like, for example, Lumene vitamin c + Pure radiance moisturizer with arctic cloudberries (2).

This cream, despite its moisturizing properties, has sufficient nutritional protection, and is quite suitable for severe winter frosts. It's not for nothing that the country of its production is Finland, which is famous for its ski resorts and harsh northern climate. The cream has a fairly thick consistency, and when applied to the face, it nourishes and protects the skin from adverse external influences - wind, sun and frost. It contains a large number of natural ingredients, amino acids and antioxidants, arctic cloudberry seed oil, and reflective pigments that make the skin glow. Vitamin C strengthens the skin, and a certain amount of silicones that make up the composition provide it with reliable external protection. For the spring-summer period, Lumene cream with cloudberries will probably be heavy.

Winter skin care with folk remedies.

If you are at home, and there are no available tools nearby, use folk methods. First, wash your face with soft boiled water (which will give the necessary hydration without the effects of chlorine), and then apply a thin layer of refined vegetable butter... After 15-20 minutes, blot it thoroughly with a napkin, and nothing else needs to be done. In no case will your skin feel any sensations of heaviness or oily; on the contrary, vegetable oil will perfectly cope with the task of softening and eliminating dryness, and the skin will remain comfortable even the next day. Once absorbed, the oil will no longer stain your hands or clothing, so you do not need to rinse it off. Of course, every day, I think, such a procedure should not be carried out, but as a mask, 2-3 times a week, it will do just fine.

In winter, I am also very well suited to moisturizing creams from the series Black Pearl... By consistency, they are thick and not sticky, and therefore do not create an excessive feeling of moisture on the face, but at the same time they nourish and moisturize the skin well, and are also a wonderful makeup base and perfectly protect in the cold season.

There are also special products designed for winter care in severe frosts. Such as, for example, the winter cream from Avon Solutions winter (3). Oddly enough, it also belongs to the category of moisturizers, but at the same time, it is positioned as a protective, soothing cream that softens the skin, makes it smoother, prevents flaking, chapping and dryness. The cream has a fairly light consistency of medium density and is suitable for all skin types.

In severe frosts, a special nourishing cream Garnier Nutrition and Comfort with acacia honey has been developed for very dry skin (4). This cream is quite dense in structure, and although the jar itself is yellow in color, the contents are pure, white as snow, in color. I will not actively recommend this cream to everyone and everyone, since it did not suit me - I have dry skin, combined in the T-zone, so it turned out to be too heavy for me, creating the feeling of a mask on my face. And I had to use it ... as a honey mask, 1-2 times a week - he coped with this task perfectly. But, perhaps for those who have very dry skin, this cream will do just fine in winter.

Don't forget about lip and hand care too! On frosty days, the skin of the lips and hands is especially susceptible to external influences. Therefore, we apply lip balm (like, for example, Pure Line or Avon (5), and hand cream (for example, Florena, with olive oil (6). This cream is quite thick, and not liquid in consistency). that is necessary in severe frosts, it is well absorbed and instantly eliminates the sensations of dryness and flaking.The skin of the hands becomes soft and delicate, and the effect of intensive protection lasts for a long time.

Lip balm can be used as a base for lipstick - it is very convenient: lipstick lasts longer and does not spread, and lips acquire double protection from winter frost. And they, by the way, are not far off, and more often than not, they like to hit right after New Year, so the upcoming holidays are a great reason to stock up on winter care cosmetics, and at the same time a great mood!
