Every year, with the arrival of cold weather, cities and towns are painted in 50 shades gray. Practicality comes to the fore. It just so happened that a thought firmly stuck in our heads: beauty and warmth are incompatible. Either warm, but simple, or chic, but cold. It's time to dispel this myth and no longer seek compromises in winter or summer!


First, let's figure out the color.
If you are afraid to wear light-colored clothes in winter, it doesn’t matter. Colors can be both bright and muted, that is, as if mixed with gray paint. Clothes in muted shades look very impressive while remaining extremely practical!

How else can you add flavor to your look with color? Very simple - focusing on accessories! You can safely leave your favorite black down jacket, but add to it, for example, a red hat, or bright mittens, or a scarf, or even all together. You will immediately notice that your usual set has started to play in a new way, besides, changing accessories is not as expensive as outerwear :)



Of course, color isn't the only tool that can enhance your look. Try to play with the cut. Asymmetrical things are very relevant today, and it can be both outerwear and what is “closer to the body”. And of course, avant-garde and deconstructivism are also extremely popular!



Don't forget about the combination of textures. The more various fabrics and materials will be used in the image, the more interesting it will be. If you put on a silk dress, add a woolen sweater with a relief pattern to it, “marry” leather trousers with a voluminous fur coat, grind a knitted suit with a quilted down jacket. Smooth + embossed, matte + glossy, in general, you get the idea :)



The next technique we'll look at is called shrobing. This is one of the coolest trends of the last five years. This term comes from two words: shoulders (shoulders) and robing (dressing, dressing process). That is, this is a way of wearing clothes, in which the thing is deliberately opened excessively or lowered from the shoulders, finding itself in the middle position between put on and off. Clothes can come down from one shoulder or from both, be unbuttoned partially or completely.

This trend will cost you absolutely nothing and is perfect for you if you want to show what is wearing under a jacket or coat - it’s not in vain that you dressed up for three hours :) Of course, you can apply it without using outerwear! It can be shirts, dresses, jackets - whatever.



When going on long winter walks, it is better to forget about schrobing;) And give preference to a warm sweater and down jacket (or fur coat).

Important! Always look at the composition of the products. A thin woolen or cashmere sweater will keep you warm more than its thick acrylic twin brother. And such things will serve much longer, without being covered with the hated pellets after two weeks of wearing.

Oversized models are still in trend today, as well as cropped sweaters and jumpers with voluminous shoulders.



In order to look stylish and not freeze at the same time, there is another cool trick. Her name is layering... In other words, we dress like a cabbage, only beautifully! Let's look at a few combinations that will help us with this.

1.Turtleneck + shirt

You can put a jacket or coat on top, or even better - both! The more layers you have, the more interesting the image. In winter, it is better to give preference to a down jacket or a fur coat as the top layer.

2. Turtleneck + dress

Yes, yes, if you miss your favorite light dresses in the cold season, there is a way out! Just put on a turtleneck and warm tights under the dress, complement the look with high-toed boots - and in addition to warmth and comfort, you get a cool and non-trivial set.

3. Shirt + vest

Knitted vests are now at their peak of popularity. Choose monochrome options for working days in the office, and on weekends you can come off - put on a red shirt with a green vest, and even tie add, fire!

4. Turtleneck / sweatshirt + vest

One of the coziest options. Both layers are soft and warm - just what you need for a cold winter!

5. Shirt / turtleneck / sweatshirt + cardigan

A cardigan is a universal thing. Under it, whatever you want, you can wear it! If you want a shirt - please, if you want a turtleneck - great, if you want it all together - no problem.

6. Down jacket / jacket + coat

This is truly a brilliant invention! And it looks great, and will not blow anything :)

7. Coat / down jacket + quilted scarf
