There are some popular fashion portals, literally occupied by hipsters, where they publish their photos, communicate and unobtrusively propagate their outlook on life. For this they are condemned, ridiculed on entertainment sites, blogs and social networks. Let's try to understand - why are hipsters condemned?

Hipsters stand out from the crowd and do not take into account the opinions of others. A real hipster is completely indifferent to what people think of him. So at least they claim. Although this is not true, and those people who are indifferent to public opinion do not attach any importance to their clothes and appearance in general. After dressing in a special way, we are already telling the whole world - clothes and style are not indifferent to me, I devote time, energy and money to this. It turns out such a contradiction - clothes are not indifferent, but public opinion is indifferent. When is such a combination possible? Only in one, when a person, on a conscious or subconscious level, puts himself above others.

This is the case with hipsters. Among them there are many gifted creative people who love music and poetry, art and philosophy. They spend time in cultural conversations, visiting museums, and realizing their creative abilities. So it was at the very beginning, when the subculture was born. And now? Now everything is a little different, and among those who consider themselves hipsters, there are many people who do not understand anything about art and culture, but proudly claim the right to be higher and better than others, stand out from the crowd and do not care about public opinion. There is nothing surprising in such a phenomenon, such a development is observed with all subcultures, social movements and even religions.

Take a look into the past. For example, the first ideologues of communist ideas, what were they, and what kind of communists can you see now? And Christianity, are you familiar with the history of the Christian religion? At the very beginning, the early Christians were so devoted to their principles, and loved God so much that they did not hesitate to give their lives for the confirmation of their faith! Later, when Christianity became a generally accepted religion, many dubious people appeared in their ranks who did not in any way correspond to the ideals of a Christian.

So modern hipsters have little in common with the first inspirers of the hipster subculture. Any movement, when it becomes massive, begins a rapid degeneration.

Now on to the fun part - where can you buy clothes and put together a modern hipster's wardrobe?

Some of the items can be purchased in boutiques, these are high-quality branded items and everything is clear with this. Vintage things from well-known brands - a dress from Balenciaga, made by the couturier himself, is also clear where to get it. To buy such a vintage, there are special shops, auctions and online auctions, where, if you wish and skill, you can find chic things at a very low price.

And where to get other things - grandfather's glasses or a scarf from an old grandmother's chest, worn-out shoes, worn so much that a thumb sticks out of them? Looking through my memories, shops and places where I managed to visit in my life, I remembered flea markets. They are different, somewhere you can buy good antiques - a gramophone in excellent condition, porcelain from the first half of the 20th century, a bronze candlestick, a box made of boxwood decorated with inserts of mammoth bone. I like these markets, but there are other places of trade where low-income citizens sell things. (We see this in the photo)

Probably hipsters do not go to such markets, there are other places where you can get all kinds of junk or things that look like junk. Whatever it was, but old, torn clothes, worn-out shoes, at all times were a sign of deprivation and squalor.After all, it is natural for a person to strive for everything beautiful and perfect. So when choosing a hipster style, look for good examples. Vlad Lisovets dresses this way, and it is from him that you should take an example, and not from a boy in dusty holey sneakers. Because spoiled old things that are not works of art have a place in the trash heap.
