In general, the problems of Ukrainian design in the field of fashion are the same as in Russia and in Belarus: in the past, this area was not strong, in the Soviet Union, light industry was inferior to heavy and military, and if in the field of exact sciences - physics, and so on. The Soviet Union was strong, but fashion design was never in the foreground, both himself and his training. In fact, in Belarus, Russia and Ukraine, the fashion sphere, the fashion industry is just being formed, is at the initial stage of its development, and the corresponding design schools, equal to the western ones, also do not yet exist. The emphasis is more on technology, gradually switching to creativity, and designers are not taught to sell, advertise, and promote their brand.
