Saint Martin College of Art and Design (www.csm.arts.ac.uk) has long been, and, it should be noted, deservedly on the first steps of the ranking among the best educational institutions in the world in the field of design. Central Saint Martin College of Art and Design (CSM for short) originates in the distant 19th century, namely in 1854, becoming the first educational institution in Great Britain, giving knowledge in the field of design. Its original name is St. Martin's School of the Arts. Its current name - St. Martin's Central College of Art and Design, this educational institution received in 1989 after the merger of the Central School of Art and Design, founded in 1896, and the St. Martin School of Art.

Today CSM is part of the University of the Arts London and includes five schools:

• School of Arts
• School of fashion and textiles (actually the school that prepares future couturiers)
• School of Graphic Design and Industrial Design
