Trussardi clothing and accessories


Trussardi specializes not only in clothing and accessories, but also in the design of bicycles and even airplanes, opera and ballet costumes, porcelain and fragrances.
In 2012, the podium for the anniversary show was installed within the walls of the 600-year-old Sforzesco Castle, which is one of the main attractions of Milan. The show of Trussardi's best models was organized on this podium.

In 1911 Dante Trussardi founded a glove factory in Bergamo. But the heyday of the House of Trussardi began in 1971, when his grandson, Nicola Trussardi, took over the management of the family business. Nicola, a passionate sports fan, launched the Trussardi Sport line. And in 1973 he came up with the family coat of arms - Greyhounds depicted on it, dogs of an ancient breed - elegant, energetic, famous for their active lifestyle and beautiful movements. All members of the Trussardi family are very fond of these beautiful dogs.

In 1976 Nicola Trussardi opened the first boutique in Milan, in 1983 the first women's ready-to-wear collection was shown in Milan at the La Scala theater, in 1984 the first men's collection was shown. He designed the Italian national team uniform for the Seoul Olympics. In 1986, the Palais Trussardi opened in the center of Milan, where Picasso exhibitions, concerts of Sinatra and Liza Minnelli were held. In 1992, a motorcycle was released under the Trussardi label, Trussardi's logo - a greyhound adorned the seats of the Alitalia Boeing saloons and the Mini Leyland dashboard.


Nikola died in 1999 after losing control of the car. Four years later, the same tragedy happened to Francesco, the heir to the family business. But the House, in which one tragedy after another happened, continues to create new collections.


Beatrice Trussardi studied at New York University and received her Master's degree in History of Modern and Contemporary Art. In 2003 she became the chairman of the board of Trussardi. Her whole life belongs to art. She has collaborated with many museums, her interests are related to contemporary art. Beatrice is the head of the Nicola Trussardi Foundation, which organizes exhibitions, publications, and supports artists. "We believe this helps to maintain the level of the country's national culture." “Fashion is closely related to art,” says Beatrice.

In 2003, Beatrice is vice president of the non-profit project Milan - City of Fashion and Design. She has many international awards, and in 2006 the World Economic Forum included her in the list of 267 young global leaders. Beatrice is the fourth generation of the family that founded Trussardi Fashion House.


Over the past 20 years, several more lines have appeared, including the sports and youth lines. All lines are united by a concept like life style, or lifestyle. In the understanding of the House of Trussardi - it is elegance, lightness, sophistication and comfort. Every product produced by the company expresses exactly Trussardi's style. Life style is the pursuit of beauty, and "... art and beauty in Italy are always close by" - says the current head of the House of Trussardi, Beatrice Trussardi.


What are the style features of the fashion house? It is a clear color scheme that consists of different shades of white, black, gray, khaki and ecru (champagne). Expensive materials are always used - wool, leather and natural fabrics. The silhouettes are strict, the cut is impeccable, handwork of the highest quality is in the first place. The Fashion House tries to preserve ancient traditions, focuses on handicrafts, although this does not imply large volumes of production.

The younger sister also entered the family business - she is a creative director, the younger brother also takes part in the work, and an energetic mother leads the whole family. The family has high hopes for the new designer Umit Benan. Umit, a Turk by nationality, previously worked on his own brand Umit Benan and has already released several men's collections that have attracted the attention of the public. From the very first collection of Trussardi, he managed not only to emphasize the style of Trussardi, but also to draw attention to his originality and quality of cut.
