Coeur de Jeanette and other Houbigant fragrances

In 1775, the first perfume house was opened in Paris - the House of Ubigan. Jean François Hubigan created perfumes for the very Queen of France - Marie Antoinette and deserved honor and glory. The House's emblem is a basket of flowers, which was captured in the mosaic in front of the entrance to the Ubigan perfume shop. You will probably agree that there is no better emblem for a perfume house? In addition to fragrances, the store sold gloves, gifts and wedding accessories. Then the House of Ubigan became a supplier to other royal courts of Europe.

In the 18th century, there was a fashion for scenting various items, not just gloves. For example, bergamot boxes, which were produced in Grasse, all kinds of cases, cases, pomanders, travel bags. Many items of common use in secular circles began to exude a scent. In the 19th century, the creations of the House of Perfume continue to delight the ladies of the court. His aromas were appreciated by the Countess du Barry, Ninon de Lanclos, Josephine Beauharnais, Princess Adelaide of Orleans (1829), Queen Victoria of England (1838), Emperor Napoleon III (1870), Russian Tsar Nicholas II in 1890.

In 1881, the company became owned by Javal & Paul Parquet. The famous perfumer Paul Parquet was one of the first to use synthetic ingredients in perfume compositions.

When the new fragrance was released, it was a real event in the secular society of Paris. For example, in 1882, the Fougere Royale fragrance - "Royal Fern" caused a real stir. Then, for the first time in perfumery, coumarin was used - a synthetic aroma with the smell of freshly cut hay. This fragrance laid the foundation for a whole direction in the art of perfumery. The scent emphasizes the exciting breath of autumn, in which the smell of grass, earth, autumn forest.

At the Paris exhibition in 1900, the trade mark Houbigant presented Coeur de Jeanette perfumecreated in honor of the exhibition. This fragrance was created by Parquet and was a tremendous success.

In the famous Id? Al - "Ideal" (1900) from Ubigan a lot of spring, but the same success.

Quelques Fleurs Houbigant

Quelques Fleurs - "Several colors". The last fragrance has become one of the most beloved. It has a scent of luxurious flowers - rose, jasmine, lilac, violet, lily of the valley, vanilla, ylang-ylang. This perfume is summer. Natural and artificial-chemical fantasies are intertwined in them - they create a colorful and strong scent. This is probably why it has stood the test of time, and in 1985 it was released again under the name Quelques Fleurs I'Original. In the sound of this fragrance, the first violin belongs to the rose, and together with jasmine, which according to the traditions of Grasse is called simply a flower (isn't it too modest for a regal jasmine), a dizzying force is created that makes you remember the scent of perfume for a long time. The final accord belongs to lilac, violet and orchid (it is she who gives the fragrance its stability).
