Fabric flowers - tools for making

Probably, you have already decided - I will do it myself fabric flowers... Then let's start by taking a closer look at what tools and accessories are needed for our flowers.

What will be required fabric flowers? Of course, first of all, scissors (small with sharp ends), wire cutters, tweezers for grasping individual parts of the petals, an awl, a hook for curling the petals (made of wire with a diameter of 2.5 - 3 mm), bulks and incisors (they are also called knives ).

Bubbles are used to squeeze out round petals. A bulka is a ball welded to a rod, which is set on a wooden handle. For work, you need bulks with balls of various diameters, because there are forget-me-not flowers, and there are roses. Therefore, the bulks are made with a diameter of 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 18.20, 25, 30.40, 55mm. The balls can be used from bearings.

Incisors are better to have single, double (two grooves) and triple (three grooves). The incisors are also placed on a wooden handle.

Besides the basic tools, fabric flowers will also require such additional accessories:

rigid rubber cushion for corrugating leaves and petals with incisors. Rubber 1.5 - 2cm thick, dimensions 15 X 25cm. It is better to sheathe it with a cloth;

soft rubber cushion for squeezing out petals flowers gurgles. It can be made from regular foam rubber;

pillow filled with sand (fine sand) for making rose petals, peonies, etc. flowers;

cuttings for quick harvesting of petals of especially small flowers (forget-me-nots, arabis, yaskolka, etc.).

Prepare glass jars and vials for diluting and storing paints, boxes for storing individual parts of flowers, different brushes and glass on which it is easier touch up the fabric...
