Cloth and other materials for making

Hundreds of thousands of plant species live on earth. And flowers take pride of place among them. Our flowers - fabric flowers do it yourself, and they will delight us too.

Even the smallest bunch of flowers can make your simple outfit bright and individual. If you take a close look at your flowers in the garden, their color, if you appreciate its beauty in each flower, then master fabric flowers with your own hands, it will not seem difficult to you.

We have already talked about the tools that are needed to make flowers. Now let's move on to the fabric and other auxiliary materials from which we will make flowers.

Flowers can be made from cambric, linen and silk linen, marquise, crepe de Chine, crepe satin, satin, chiffon, velvet, panne and other materials. The best flowers come from natural fabrics.

Fabrics should be starched, silk and artificial and natural are best starched with gelatin. Cotton velvet - gelatin or potato starch. A dry cloth is dipped in a hot solution, wrung out and dried, then ironed.

Supporting materials.
We will need dyes and adhesives to give the flower its natural color.

Paints

As dyes in the manufacture fabric flowers use aniline dyes, photo paints, Rainbow ink, food confectionery dyes, gouache, ink. To create the desired shades, paints are diluted with water, but it is better with cologne or vodka, in this case the paints will be brighter, cleaner and dry faster.

Primary colors:

Red - red photo paints, red ink, red ink, red radomin.
Yellow - photo paints, Akrikhin, saffron, yellow radomin, aniline yellow.
Blue - aniline blue, photo paints, medical blue.
Violet - violet ink, ink, photo paints, violet radomin.
Green - medical green, green akrikhin, aniline green, green radomin.
Gray and black - ink.

The rest of the colors can be obtained by mixing the main ones.
Many flowers have different colors inside and out. Study the shape and color of the flower carefully.

be durable, dry quickly, do not leave dirty marks, do not discolor paint on petals and leaves. Stationery glue is not good! You need to prepare the glue yourself.

Flour paste. Sifted flour (1-2 tablespoons) is poured with a small amount of cold water and thoroughly stirred until creamy, then, stirring, heated over low heat until the flour is brewed. The paste is used for gluing paper, fixing "pollen" (starch, semolina) on stamens, for gluing petals to the core of a flower.

Dextrin glue (postal). A tablespoon of dextrin is diluted with 1/4 cup of warm water, allowed to stand for 2-3 hours, put on fire and brought to a boil. You can add 1 tablespoon of wheat flour to boiling glue, stir. Used for working with paper, stamens, petals
PVA adhesives. These are the best adhesives for making flowers.

Gelatinous glue. 1 teaspoon of gelatin is poured? glasses of cold water, after 40 minutes (after swelling) add 2 tablespoons of flour, 1 teaspoon of sugar. Everything is thoroughly mixed and brought to a boil over low heat.

Wire (copper or aluminum). For the manufacture of stems, the thickness depends on the severity of the flower. The flower should wobble on the stem, which gives it more naturalness. Steel wire will not work.

Paper. Tissue or crepe decorative paper of various colors is required for wrapping the wire. Most often, green and brown paper (the color of the stems and bark) is required.

Cotton wool. For making flower buds and cores. If you need colored cotton wool, then white cotton wool is painted in the desired color. The paint is diluted with water to the desired tone, cotton wool is dipped into it, lightly wrung out and dried on paper.

Threads. For the stamens, you will need threads of a variety of colors. You can use darning, iris, floss.

Semolina. Semolina is dyed in the desired color, usually yellow, to obtain pollen.

As you can see, the choice of fabric and other auxiliary materials is much less difficult than with tools.
