Fashion began to take on fantastic images: space-style suits, geometric cut and print, new technologies, and with them new materials that were not previously used in clothes - synthetics, vinyl, plastic, metal and even paper.


Mary Quant creates clothes that defy the conservatism of the 50s. Spacious dresses appear, without frills and petticoats, and very short ones. André Courreges, Pierre Cardin, Paco Rabanne are some of the most avant-garde designers of the 60s. Costumes Pierre Cardin geometric cut, short, angular dresses, as if intended for robots inhabiting the fantastic world of space. For their manufacture, Cardin used plastic, vinyl, silvery leather.
