Stella Nina McCartney is a British designer, creator and art director of the Stella McCartney brand.

Designer Stella McCartney and Stella McCartney

Stella McCartney, daughter of the famous Paul McCartney, was born on 13 September 1971 in Notting Hill, North London. Her parents were famous all over the world: her father, the musician of The Beatles, Paul McCartney, and her mother, fashion photographer, Linda Eastman. The family had four children - two older sisters and a younger brother. McCartney sent their children to a regular public school. Knowing who their parents were, the teachers "asked them especially severely." But Stella was a capable girl, and she didn't often have to be upset about this.

Due to the tour of his father, the family constantly moved. Parents talked with many celebrities, and since childhood, children were surrounded by people of art - musicians, actors, designers, photographers. In the future, Stella continued to keep in touch with many of them. In April 1998, her mother died of breast cancer. Stella loved her mother very much, and tried to be like her. Linda was an animal welfare activist. And in the future, Stella will repeat it and will support animal protection organizations.

Since childhood, Stella was fond of fashion, she loved to visit flea markets and admire antiques. However, she not only admired, but also bought, creating new images. From the age of 13, she tried to create her own models and studied with her personal tailor Paul McCartney.

Many newspapers wrote about this event then, and items from the collection were sold with great success in many department stores in London and Tokyo.

In 1997 she was invited to the post of creative director of Chloe. The young designer Stella McCartney was not afraid to replace Karl Lagerfeld himself in this position. Many reacted with suspicion to this appointment, believing that Stella owes her previous successes only to the celebrities of her father. Karl Lagerfeld was also skeptical about the appointment, calling McCartney's surname "loud, but in the world of music."

However, Stella's new collection for Chloe brand was successful again. Before releasing this collection as creative director of Chloe, Stella took a full look at the brand's archive and took it as a basis, adding her mother's style and her design imagination from memory. Then, after the release of the collection, critics called her short jackets with lace and tight-fitting trousers "a new silhouette".

Stella created a wedding dress for her sister, Mary, and then Madonna for her marriage to Guy Ritchie. She held this post for about four years. During this time, sales of the House increased almost fivefold, and not only adult women, but also very young people, as well as many Hollywood stars, became their customers. In 2001, Stella left Chloe and soon opened her own Stella Nina McCartney House with the Gucci Group. The Stella McCartney brand produces women's and children's clothing, accessories, and underwear.
