Avant-garde Fashion Contemporary Art

At 12.00 on October 1, a competition-show of avant-garde fashion was held in Minsk as part of the festival of contemporary arts and avant-garde fashion "Mammoth". But the show started too in Minsk, namely, not at 12 or even at 12.30, and not even at 12.35, it started at 13.00. The full hall was waiting for the lingering jury members, and they say accuracy is the courtesy of kings ... However, the audience was entertained by a cleaning lady who, in front of the crowded audience, in a purple robe and purple slippers matched to the color of purple slippers, washed the podium, so slowly and, one might say, gracefully. Spectators photographed "enthusiastically". By the way, the podium was crooked, there was probably no light again, which is also traditional for Minsk shows, but here I am not an expert, photographers will better tell you here. But this is not the point, these are all just annoying little things associated with the lack of culture and understanding that people cannot be kept waiting, the show itself was amazing, interesting, magnificent! But let's start over.

The show was hosted by Pyotr Elfimov, a Belarusian singer known for his Eurovision scandals, and the vice-miss of the Minsk 2007 beauty contest, Ekaterina Lyubchik. The first to present her collection was Natalya Andreyuk, a historian by education, but she drew inspiration for her collection from the works of the Mexican artist of the first half of the twentieth century, Frida Kahlo. There was also a collection with telling names "Antonio", for its authors Antonio Banderas became a source of inspiration. A collection called "Waiting for Love", by Galina Galuza, became very cute, gentle and at the same time mischievous, especially a girlish one. Natural materials were used in its creation: grass, wood chips, flower petals. And some viewers from the front rows were lucky with a light snack, they were able to catch apples.

The collection of Sergei Sergeychik from Vitebsk called "Liberta" showed that its author did not graduate from the Technological University in vain, because he used steel very widely, and in addition, natural leather. His collection was very technical. There were hints of something technical, physical and even futuristic in Dmitry Prigozhaev's collection "Electrogravity".

Ksenia Sakhonchik presented the collection “Dancing in the Dark”. And it really was dancing in the dark, dancing graceful bats, and the idea of using flashlights was very appropriate here. Headdresses and accessories for girls were made from music records melted under gas.

There was also a fabulous collection inspired by Celtic mythology and the works of Tolkien. It was not without the sharp ears of the elves, but the wing-horns attracted special attention. Incredible, fantastic wings with amazing designs. These wings were created from leather and thread. This collection was presented by Svetlana Ivashina and Olga Kiselevich, graduates of the Pedagogical University.

The collection of Evgeny Ivanchik from Gomel "Crisis production" deserves special attention. The collection was clearly inspired by the latest developments in the economic sphere and buckwheat, dressed in gold and furs, as well as a wired smoker (cigarettes are also becoming more expensive), caused a storm of applause from the audience.

The collection of the youngest designer of the competition, a student of the gymnasium № 50 of the city of Minsk Anastasia Soborova, called "Fireworks of the World" was also interesting. Silk fabrics, lace rhinestones were used in the creation of the collection.

Their collections were also presented by Aleksandr Chernenko, Aleksandra Gorapko, the name of her collection “There is no third” - the eternal confrontation between the forces of light and darkness, as well as Yola Milaya, the presentation of her collection was particularly philosophical. Yela Mila's collection was called "B.H.L." ("Believe in Hope Love"). A fragment of the play "White Dew" with curious costumes was also presented.

We can assume that the avant-garde fashion show-competition was a success, the audience received a lot of impressions and vivid emotions. All the participants were at their best and it will be very difficult to select the best. After all, their collections were so diverse and completely unique. The festival continued, and its participants were still waiting for a video art competition, a body art championship, a concert. And on October 2, the finale and show of the best collections of the festival.
