The yellow-square season of Belarus Fashion Week, where Belarusian designers demonstrated their spring-summer 2019 collections, ended on Saturday, November 10.

The organizers of the Fashion Week remembered the avant-garde of the early 20th century, whose representatives on the Belarusian soil were such famous artists as Chagall, Malevich, Lissitzky. All of them once worked at the Vitebsk Art School (Marc Chagall was the founder of this school), which could have turned 100 this year. The first admission to the Vitebsk Art School took place on November 11, 1918. The Vitebsk Art School was closed at the beginning of the war in 1941.



And each visitor to Belarus Fashion Week, expecting a fashion show, could get acquainted with the exhibition "New beauty - in a new thing ..." from the illustrators of the Fantasy Room school, where silk canvases with author's prints were presented. The paintings of Chagall, Lissitzky and Malevich became the source of inspiration for these works.

Also, the square theme was traced in the very design of Belarus Fashion Week - right down to the badges for volunteers and the press.



Yellow, which was a bright spot in the design of Belarus Fashion Week of the spring season, is one of the fashionable colors of 2018.

Brand name TON-IN-TON... Olga Novik, the brand's designer, demonstrates comfortable everyday knitwear from season to season. And the spring-summer 2019 season was no exception.



Devur / Femme are two brands of women's clothing in one bottle. The spring-summer collection, which these brands presented as part of the Fashion Week, was called “Everything you need” and was positioned as “a celebration of freedom and choice”.

BALUNOVA Fashion Design Studio - comfortable spring-summer clothes, laconic, a lot of white. And traditionally the designer of the brand Larisa Balunova paid great attention to the cut of clothes, as well as to non-standard combinations of clothing elements, trying to give some originality to everyday things. Natural fabrics - mainly cotton and linen. However, the naturalness of fabrics is a feature of many Belarusian clothing brands.

T.Efremova. Designer Tatyana Efremova is a regular participant of Belarus Fashion Week, a representative of the Vitebsk design school. The collection of the spring-summer 2019 season from Tatyana Efremova was dedicated to the world of the future, in which reality and virtuality are mixed into one, and people turn into androids.



Tatyana Efremova is one of the few Belarusian designers whose new collection and show are always expected with impatience and anticipation of something new and interesting. Each collection of the T.Efremova brand has its own concept, its own idea, which is always perfectly conveyed by the images created by the designer.



The symbiosis of artificial and natural in the collection of the spring-summer 2019 season from T.Efremova was conveyed through fabrics - natural materials combined with artificial ones, as well as through transforming dresses.All dresses of the collection are of the same cut, but at the same time they can be worn in a wide variety of versions.

The main colors of the collection are red, black and white. And these are the first dyes that have been known to people since ancient times. Colors that in themselves look good with each other and give very bright, long-lasting and eye-catching combinations. Also in the collection there was a khaki color.



NELVA. The Brest brand NELVA is always a quality mark. Clothes for stylish and confident women. Lead designer of the brand Alexander Shitko.

NELVA always describe their collections by dividing them into semantic parts. So this season the collection Inspired by Nature ("Inspired by nature"), consisted of three styles - clothing for business, clothing in the style of casual and clothing for parties (party). The Inspired by Nature collection was made in the traditional spirit of the brand, but the visitors of the show were in for a surprise.



As part of the spring-summer 2019 Belarus Fashion Week, the NELVA brand presented the Friday by NELVA sub-brand and the Simple Life collection. Friday by NELVA is something new and modern, rhythmic and youthful.

It can be assumed that the craziest and most interesting experiments can be expected from Friday by NELVA in the future. And this is a very correct policy on the part of the brand. The NELVA brand will not upset its customers with incomprehensible experiments with style, but at the same time it will not remain aloof from the seething fashion of the 21st century, so inclined to realize the most unexpected fantasies.



The Simple Life collection from the Friday by NELVA brand was also divided into several style directions - city casual (casual clothes for the city) and resort (summer vacations and resort mood).

Natalia Korzh. The collection from designer Natalia Korzh for the spring-summer 2019 season turned out to be so feminine, so delicate, so elegant that it was simply impossible not to notice it.



The name of the collection is "Nameless Star". The fabrics are natural. Light and flowing fabrics of dresses, skirts and trousers. Oversized coats made of materials with curly stitching and large details. The colors are dark purple, dark green, dark blue. And also the color of moss, the color of cedar and wormwood, the color of lilac and lavender. Stunning cut - trousers of various shapes, midi skirts, flounce sleeves, bat sleeves.



Atmospheric musical accompaniment of the show. In clothes from this collection by Natalia Korzh, every woman can feel like a real Parisian.



And one more undoubted advantage of the collection from Natalia Korzh - there are no attempts to catch up with the latest fashion trends, there is no feeling of a crazy race for no less crazy fashion, but at the same time everything is done so stylishly and, strange as it may sound, it is fashionable that such clothes want to buy. But crazy attempts to catch up with crazy fashion, while forgetting about style, could be seen at the SEE NOW & BUY NOW Fashion Show sponsored by Belarus Fashion Council.



It was not a designer's show, but a show of images from ten stylists, organized as part of Belarus Fashion Week. And, interestingly, many stylists who, it would seem, could create so many interesting and, what is important, deep interpretations of fashion, connecting it with art, with different eras and styles, gave out mostly street style images, with baggy over size and unisex clothes. By the way, and in fairness, it is worth noting that there were still interesting and stylish images, and, what is interesting, these were images from male stylists - Sergei Garosta and Vadim Antonin.

The conclusion is simple and paradoxical - today Belarusian designers create a style, not forgetting about fashion trends, and Belarusian stylists fell under the fashion influence of fashion trends (this is how fashion for fashion trends in style) and forgot about style.
