Helmut Newton is no longer just a name, Helmut Newton is one of the outstanding photographers of the twentieth century, and he has long since become a recognized classic of photography.

The genres in which Helmut Newton worked are varied: from traditional fashion photography to reflections on the theme of death. Celebrities such as Mick Jagger, Sting, Serge Ginsbourg, David Lee Roth and many others posed for him. There is certainly a certain touch of decadence in his works. He was always interested in the topic of eroticism in photography. He can be attributed to those photographers who are carried away not only by the external side, but also by the internal: meaning, content. He creates an image of a strong and even domineering woman, a woman who is able to choose herself.

Helmut Newton is much more than just a fashion photographer, and fashion photography itself is only part of his work. Nevertheless, since the 1960s of the twentieth century, the works of Helmut Newton appear in such famous glossy magazines as Elle, Vogue, Marie-Claire, Harper's Bazaar, and become part of the fashion world and even change this world, change the very magazine photography. ... And yes, it is Helmut Newton who makes a part of fashion, the glossy world, and makes erotica, and not just erotica, but erotica on the verge of indecent. Critics of Helmut Newton's works have repeatedly noted that: "even when there is nothing frankly indecent in his shots, they still make a very" indecent "impression." More than once, Helmut Newton's photographs have appeared on the pages of Playboy magazine.

In December 1938, in connection with the events that are taking place in Germany (the strengthening of Hitler's power, the deterioration of relations with the Jewish population), Helmut Newton decides to leave Germany, by the way, his parents had already lived in Chile by that time. Hellmuth went to Singapore, where he got a job as a photojournalist for a newspaper, but was soon fired for incompetence, after only two weeks of work. He goes to Australia. In Australia, he served in the army (as a truck driver) and received citizenship, and also married actress June Brown. And he opened his own studio in Melbourne. June Brown will also soon take up photography, signing her works as Alice Springs (after the city in Australia). She will also become a highly sought after photographer. Helmut and June lived a long life together, but they never had children. June has repeatedly appeared in her husband's photographs, often nude.

Helmut Newton spent the last years of his life living in Monte Carlo and Los Angeles.

He died in 2004, at the age of 83: out of habit, he gasped straight from the spot and crashed into the wall of a building opposite the parking lot of a hotel in Hollywood from which he was driving - he died in the hospital from his injuries.

Helmut Newton is called a "cold-fiery" photographer, because his works depict "sculptures of women", full of health, but it is the sculptures - cold statues that only slightly "glow with the bluish light of the Arctic ice."

"I swear to God I have nothing to add to the memoirs that I have sprinkled
in 1982. What can I say about the twenty years that have passed since then? That I photographed another thousand or two naked girls and ate them so that they no longer climb down my throat? What do I earn even better?
That I only fly first class? Nonsense! Nothing important happened! My life is boring. "
Helmut Newton.
