Capri pants are a great solution to the problem of worn-out jeans at the bottom. Turn long jeans into capri pants - and they will find new life for more than one year.
Capri pants will be comfortable in the summer - they look great with both ballerinas and high heels. And in winter they can be worn with high boots or boots.
You will need: long old jeans of any color
scissors
measuring tape (centimeter)
pencil for fabric
sewing machine
Attention! Before you cut your jeans, remember to try them on and decide on the desired length. Also, do not forget to leave a 5 cm allowance for the fold.
Procedure:
1.Place the jeans on a flat surface and fold them in half (top pockets up). Use a measuring tape and fabric pencil to measure 45 cm (for example) down from the fastener.
2. With a fabric pencil, draw a line along the width of the leg.
3.Cut the fabric along the marked line. Do the same for the second leg.
4. Turn the capri pants inside out. Fold up the fabric of the jeans along the cut line 1/3 cm and then 3 cm more. Pin with tailor's pins and sew. Turn the finished product right out.
Advice. Tight jeans will make wonderful Capri-cigarettes, and wide ones will make not only capri pants, but also medium-length shorts.
You can also make mini-shorts out of old worn-out jeans. The bottom line of the mini-shorts can be shaped like a fringe, which is especially good if you cut the leg unevenly.
By the way. High-waisted jeans turn into shorts that fit perfectly with a 1950s look (think Marilyn Monroe). But jeans with a low waist will create a more casual look.
Feel free to experiment and give your old worn jeans a second life.
