Converting old jeans into cigarette jeans

Jeans good because they allow you to emphasize the dignity of the figure, which is why tight silhouettes are so popular. Paired with ballet flats, high heels or tucked into boots, they look amazing! And since denim almost always contains a certain amount of elastane, you can convert old wide leg jeans into trendy cigarette jeans.

Operating procedure:

1. Use a measuring tape to measure the distance around the foot: start at the heel and pull the tape around the instep. Divide the measured distance in half. Lay the jeans turned inside out on a flat work surface. Measure the length from outside to inside seam and mark the new leg width.

2. Measure the distance from the knee to the ankle (in our case, 35 cm). Determine the bevel line: Using a measuring tape, mark the intersection of the new leg width by measuring 35 cm along the inside seam of the jeans. Draw a line and repeat the same with the other leg.

3. Follow the marked line to sew. Repeat the same on the second leg. Try on your jeans while they are still inside out so you can make adjustments if necessary. Trim seam allowances, leaving 1, 3 cm.

These jeans look and fit just fine, but you shouldn't wear them when you go for a pedicure because you won't be able to tuck your pants up high enough.
