A decorated Christmas tree is an invariable attribute of the new year, but it will not be enough to decorate the house. The details and décor create that coveted magical atmosphere that makes us look forward to the coming of the new year. How to decorate the house for the main winter holiday, we asked interior designers Anastasia Kasparyan and Elena Krylova.

Star designer Elena Krylova recommends leaving a few branches after buying a Christmas tree to decorate the house. Branches can serve as a decoration for a staircase, a doorway, a fireplace or a festive table. By adding red ribbons and cones to the branches, you get a bright composition for a vase.

Anastasia Kasparyan advises to determine the main colors of the festive decor. Classic combinations of crimson, gold and green are a win-win. In order for the composition to look whole, support it by changing textiles in selected shades or with a New Year's print.

The most mesmerizing attribute of home decoration are lanterns, garlands and lamps. Love the scale? Decorate the front of your house with LED lights and live spruce in your backyard. Candles, themed lamps, and a garland are suitable for the home. Moreover, a garland with a simple warm light looks much more noble than a colored one.

Elena Krylova, author of eco-style projects, advises using different natural materials. For example, felling trees can become a table decoration, cones can make an unusual garland, and an old wooden box in a duet with a knitted blanket can become a coffee table. Glass jars look good as a stand for candles and floral arrangements. Tie a satin ribbon around the neck for artistry.

Also, the designer advises using products as decor. So, among the Christmas tree decorations, sweets can be listed, and tangerines in a wicker basket will become a juicy decoration of a coffee table in the living room. And flowers on Christmas trees and in New Year's compositions have remained at the peak of popularity for the second year already. Moreover, artificial flowers often do not differ externally from natural ones and will serve you for a long time to decorate your holidays.

Remembering Christmas movies, one cannot fail to note the abundance of intriguing boxes and baskets with gifts hidden inside. You don't have to buy a lot of colored boxes. If you have unopened IKEA storage boxes, just tie them with ribbon and create a cute arrangement.
