Collections of Belarusian designers for the spring-summer 2017 season.

The 13th season of the Belarusian Fashion Week was held in Minsk from 3 to 6 November. Within the framework of the Week, both the most famous Belarusian designers and guests from abroad. Designers from Poland, England, Italy, Germany and France took part in the guest program of Belarus Fashion Week.

Among Belarusian designers this season at Belarus Fashion Week were demonstrated by: T. Efremova, SAMOSCHENKO, DAVIDOVA, Evgeni Horkin, Candy Lady, NAVY, ton-in-ton. And also the winner of the last season's limited edition fashion installations competition LIMITEDMINSK.

T.Efremova

Vitebsk-based designer Tatyana Efremova traditionally presented collections in collaboration with Tamara Goridovets under the common brand Harydavets & Efremova within Belarus Fashion Week. However, this season was an exception.



According to Tatyana Efremova herself, Tamara Goridovets for a number of reasons could not take part in the shows of the spring-summer 2017 collections. However, in order not to miss the season, designer Tatyana Efremova decided to debut with her solo collection from the Harydavets & Efremova brand.

The collection turned out to be unexpected. Usually the collections of the Harydavets & Efremova brand are something calm and feminine.

“She came out fully armed! Confident girl. This world is for her! She is invincible, despite her fragility and vulnerability ”- this is how Tatyana Efremova stated about her spring-summer collection and presented the image of a warrior girl. At the same time, such a girl still remains feminine, which is emphasized by light fabrics and dresses, while the details of the outfits are made in the style of military uniforms of different times.



In addition to light dresses and skirts, the collection also featured sweaters and furs. According to the designer, fur is her favorite material, so even the spring-summer collection contains fur products.

The demonstration of the show also became unusual - the models did not parade, but marched along the catwalk.

SAMOSCHENKO

Designer Olga Samoshchenko presented a calm, often monochromatic, collection of lightweight fabrics. According to the designer himself, this collection is clothes for a girl-city dweller, whose life is full of a wide variety of events.



The colors of the collection are white, gray, beige, coral, chocolate. The silhouette is slightly fitted. The clothes themselves are quite simple, but almost all the looks have interesting asymmetrical details - a sewn-on sleeve or collar, pockets.



Such clothes can be comfortable both for the office and for visiting an exhibition or theater.

DAVIDOVA

Designer Marina Davydova has remained true to herself for many years. Her collections are always clothes with interesting and memorable prints.



The collection of the spring-summer 2017 season from Marina Davydova is dedicated to finding answers to the question "What is love?" This collection can evoke associations with the Love is ... chewing gum, which, undoubtedly, all children of the 90s will remember.



Also, as if from the 90s, there is a lot of denim material in the collection. As for the lineup, there is everything that your heart desires - shirt dresses, comfortable elasticated skirts, bandeau dresses, overalls.

The colors of the collection are varied - many shades of blue and blue, white, khaki, gray, burgundy and purple.

Evgeni Horkin

Designer Evgeni Horkin takes part in Belarus Fashion Week for the first time. The debut collection for the brand was the spring-summer 2017 collection Emancipation.




But emancipation is not as a tribute to feminism, but as a way to reflect the femininity that modern women retain despite their strong character and ability to fight for their rights.



The collection featured many looks with fitted silhouettes in New Look style.All embroidery on the clothes is done by hand. Colors are bright and saturated.

Candy lady

Candy Lady is the most stellar brand of Belarusian fashion. The famous Belarusian singer Olga Barabanshchikova was the author of the brand several years ago. And for five seasons, the brand's collections have been regularly shown to viewers as part of Belarus Fashion Week.



The collection of the spring-summer 2017 season turned out to be bright and rich in colors. In the collection, as in the previous collections of the brand, there were presented many dresses, feminine in their silhouette.

NAVY

The NAVY brand is one of the few commercially successful Belarusian clothing brands.



In the spring-summer 2017 season, the NAVY collection is dedicated to the theme of interaction between man and the forces of nature, namely the water element of the sea. At the same time, the sea itself is nothing more than a reflection of human life with storms and calmness.



Since the theme of the collection is marine, the color combinations are similar to the sea - white and gray sea foam with a metallic sheen, dark, not even blue, but black color of the sea depths. Styles are tight-fitting, fabrics are light and flowing.

Ton-in-ton

In the spring-summer 2017 season, the Ton-in-ton brand presented a collection dedicated to women from Minsk.



According to the brand designer Olga Novik, the collection is dedicated to the city of Minsk and women living in the city. When creating each image, the designer paid attention to both the one for whom this or that image can be sewn, which of the women of Minsk, often her acquaintances, will be able to wear such clothes, and where in this or that image one can go in the city of Minsk.



The fabrics are very diverse: silk, viscose, cashmere. The collection's colors range from gray and white to vibrant reds, purple and orange flowers.

The end of Belarus Fashion Week was an unusual show from the LIMITEDMINSK brand.

LIMITEDMINSK Brand in the last season of the Belarusian Fashion Week became the winner of the fashion-installations competition and this season received the right to present his full-fledged collection of designer clothes.



Season collection spring-summer 2017 under the name "Synoptic" was demonstrated not as a traditional fashion show of models on the catwalk, but as a fashion installation. Models showed clothes among the scenery, while not moving at all from place to place. In this case, the audience walked - from image to image, having the opportunity to closely examine one or another suit they liked.



In general, the collections of the spring-summer 2017 season from Belarusian designers turned out to be calm, monochromatic (but still with some bright accents), most often in gray, with a metallic sheen, white, black, dark green and soft brown and beige tones.

There are practically no bold design solutions and experiments. However, there is a variety of textures - combinations of light and heavier fabrics, for example, silk and wool. Some collections contain interesting embroidery and prints.

Another feature of Belarus Fashion Week for the spring-summer 2017 season is fashion for strong-minded women, female warriors, like Tatyana Efremova, or emancipated, but beautiful women with a strong character from Evgeni Horkin. And such women really do not need to shout about themselves - their clothes are exquisitely simple and comfortable, versatile, in such clothes you can come to work in the morning, and in the evening, adding an interesting accessory, go to the theater.
