Five must see projects of Belarus Fashion Week

On April 10, the 11th season of the Belarusian Fashion Week ended in Minsk. On the catwalk, one could see the fall-winter 2016-2017 collections from the leading Belarusian fashion brands - BOITSIK, NAVY, ton-in-ton, Harydavets & Efremova, DAVIDOVA.

However, the Belarusian Fashion Week is full not only with designer shows. Within the framework of Belarus Fashion Week, a number of no less interesting, and sometimes, perhaps, more noteworthy projects are traditionally held. These are projects such as Kids' Fashion Days, Off Schedule BFW, Embassy Designer, New Names BFW and Fashion Blog Competition.

Kids' Fashion Days is practically a full-fledged Children's Fashion Week... The shows of collections of designers of children's clothing are held in parallel with the shows of "adult" designers. On the same podium, in the same space, but during "children's time" - usually in the middle of the day. So, within the framework of the autumn-winter season Belarus Fashion Week brands such as TM NEXT, Deshanel, Bana Berry, TM Mothercare, Leya.me, Vyaselka stars, SV Models, designers Maria Skorina, Olga Agey, Irina Sazanovich, Veronika Kanashevich, Valeria Krys presented their collections of children's clothing.

Anyone could attend the Kids' Fashion Days shows - tickets for children's fashion were on sale. All the proceeds, also according to the tradition that has already developed over the 11 seasons of the existence of Belarus Fashion Week, will go to charity - to help the children's hospice.

Children's fashion

If you've never been to a children's fashion show, be sure to visit them! Children's fashion is always very sincere, very bright and very energetic. What is worth, at least, the childlike spontaneity of young models. Moreover, such shows should definitely be attended with children - for them it can also become a real celebration of beauty.

Off Schedule BFW Project - this is an opportunity for beginners who do not yet have a big name of Belarusian designers to present their collections as part of the Fashion Week. The collections of young designers are always very original and bold.

There is a lot of creativity here and there is practically no emphasis on just one commerce. This season, as part of the Off Schedule BFW platform, start-up brands such as SABA, Ekaterina Volkova, Jennifer Rusina presented their collections; in addition to Belarusian designers, Anna Ramakaeva, a designer from Russia, also took part in the project.

Slogan: twosexes - onelook.
At the same time, the similarity and opposition of the masculine and feminine principles is the symmetry of images and the asymmetry of elements.
The SABA brand is a brand for a person capable of experimenting.
Well, and without outrageousness, as is obvious, the matter also did not manage.

The designer specializes in creating evening dresses.
The name of the collection is "Night Breath". At Belarus Fashion Week, Anna demonstrated the spring-summer 2016 collections.

Also a novelty of this season was the holding of a fashion installation competition within the framework of the Off Schedule BFW project. Young designers and brands were able to demonstrate their collections in the form of installations. In total, 9 such shows took place during the week. As a result, the best fashion installation will be selected, the designers of which will receive a cash grant to tailor the full seasonal collection of their brand, with which they can take part in the next season of Belarus Fashion Week.

New Names BFW Contest is also held not for the first year. The motto is the same - the road for the young, for which, in fact, we love Belarus Fashion Week. This competition is attended by design students, students of the Institute of Contemporary Knowledge, the Academy of Arts and Vitebsk Technological University - three main schools of Belarusian design. The prize for the winner is the sewing of his own collection and the opportunity to collaborate with either a designer brand or a sewing company.

Fashion Blog Competition - competition for people who are ready to write about fashion. In principle, today we can quite seriously say that Belarus Fashion Week provides support not only to young designers, but also to budding fashion journalists. And if the design was in Belarus before Belarus Fashion Week, then fashion journalism is just emerging.

As a result, the winners of the Fashion Blog Competition not only continue to keep their blogs at a higher professional level, but can start cooperating with Belarusian fashion websites, or even become the press secretary of the Fashion Week. Probably the most striking story of the winner of the Fashion Blog Competition is the story of Olga Burdina, a participant in the second season of the competition, after which she received an offer to become the press secretary of the Belarusian Fashion Week.

Embassy Designer - another important project, an opportunity to see the work of foreign designers. This project is being carried out in cooperation with the embassies of Italy, Germany, Great Britain in Belarus. So, this season one could see the collections of the brands Federica Tosi (Italy), FABRYAN (Great Britain), Marina Reimann (Germany), Klaudia Markiewicz (Poland).

We will consider this project a continuation of the educational traditions of Belarus Fashion Week. In the first years of the Belarusian Fashion Week, she had a very good educational program. Completely free, with free admission for everyone interested in fashion, - foreign designers, well-known foreign bloggers, editors of glossy magazines (for example, Ana Varava - editor of the Ukrainian version of L'OFFICIEL magazine) spoke. Frankly speaking, these lectures are in short supply today.

Designer Klaudia Markiewicz (Poland).
The name of the collection is "Return to the Roots".

The collection plays on the theme of the globalization of the world. However, great emphasis is also placed on the traditions of their own country. Many African motifs are used, but the main material is Polish wool. Indeed, in the 19th century. Poland was one of the main suppliers of wool to the European market.

But not only within the framework of the Embassy Designer project, foreign designers come to Minsk for Fashion Week. It is not the first time that designers Tinatin Magalashvili (Georgia) or Dasha Gauser (Russia) present their collections within the framework of Belarus Fashion Week.

The Belarus Fashion Week program is full of the most varied and striking events, among which every person interested in fashion and creativity will definitely be able to find something interesting just for themselves. Parents and children will be interested in Kids' Fashion Days, design students, as well as their teachers, the New Names BFW competition, novice bloggers - Fashion Blog Competition, young designers, as well as all those who are interested in creativity and courage in fashion - the Off Schedule BFW project ...
