Fashion trends of the warm season spring-summer 2018 from Belarusian designers and brands.



The 15th season of the Belarusian Fashion Week ended on October 29. Traditionally mystylex.techinfus.com/en/ magazine presents an overview of the most interesting collections of Belarus Fashion Week. In this article we will tell you about the five most interesting events of the Minsk Fashion Week.

Event # 1
Vesnaletto brand debut at Belarus Fashion Week

A real fashion show, a high-quality and well-developed collection. This is how you can characterize the first show of the spring / summer 2018 collection within Belarus Fashion Week from the Brest brand Vesnaletto.



It should be noted that in the spring-summer 2018 season Belarus Fashion Week we can say that the Brest brands conquered the Fashion Week in Minsk. Brands from Brest did not participate in the Belarusian Fashion Week for a long time. And this is understandable, Brest brands are not individual designers, but large clothing manufacturers. It is not for nothing that Brest is called the “sewing” city of Belarus.

Moreover, many of the Brest brands produce clothes for export. And thus, for a long time they were not interested in the audience of the developing Fashion Week. But time passes and brands from Brest finally believed in Belarus Fashion Week. However, we will also mention the large Brest brands a little below.



The Vesnaletto brand, as part of its debut at Belarus Fashion Week, presented a collection for modern women. Brand designer Svetlana Malich presented on the catwalk looks for office work, evening outings, and casual models. The highlight of the collection, however, is its references to the Gatsby style (1920s).



And the main thread of the Vesnaletto fashion show was also just a reference to the times of "The Great Gatsby" - a story from the American writer Francis Scott Fitzgerald, more than once embodied in films.



Bright drive show, live models, special effects. Vesnaletto definitely managed to break the calm flow of Belarus Fashion Week and wake up the public. And one more thing - the direction of the show. The models posed for both photographers and the public. Bravo!



Should a fashion show be a show? Will the show overshadow the clothing collection itself? The answers to these questions may vary. But, definitely, the show is not enough for the Belarusian fashion. And even if you adhere to the view that the show will overshadow the collection of clothes itself, then you should not forget that it is thanks to the show that the brand itself will be remembered. This means that the audience will certainly not forget about it and, perhaps, will try to learn something else about the collection and places of sale of clothes from this brand.

Event number 2
#birdasandros

When a talented designer and a talented artist meet, the result simply has to be great. And a vivid example of this is the collection "Bird Sandros" from designer Svetlana Todorskaya. The highlight of the collection is the drawings on the fabric by the artist Niki Sandros.



Below we will write that Belarus Fashion Week is after all the pret-a-porter Week. That is, ready-to-wear clothes, literally. Therefore, you should not expect something outside of the ordinary. As with all pret-a-porter Fashion Weeks, brands and designers showcase clothes that will be sold and worn. Here we are not talking about the costume as something incredible.



But sometimes designers manage to combine creativity with everyday life. The collection from Svetlana Todorskaya has become just such a collection. Clothes as a work of art. Delicate and colorful collection. Pastel and black. Lightweight and transparent fabrics. Lots of handmade work. The work on the collection took almost a year, and all the clothes were sold out before the show.

Event # 3
Brest brands in Minsk

Last season of Belarus Fashion Week we admired the brand from Brest NELVA. The organization of the show, the quality of the collection, the description of the collection - everything was up to par.

This season, the NELVA brand presented its second collection as part of Belarus Fashion Week. And everything was again at the highest level.



The brand has existed since 2000 and has a wide distribution network in Belarus, Russia and Ukraine. There are about 120 stores in total.

This season NELVA presented the collection "The pleasant journey". “A pleasant journey to some idealized place that brings people of different cultures together” - reads the annotation to the collection. Indeed, spring and summer is the time to dream and travel.



The collection of the NELVA brand for the spring-summer 2018 season consists of four parts: business classics, Smart Casual, Weekend and Party.



Another brand with a history from Brest - Lakbi... This season, the brand presented its collection for the first time as part of Belarus Fashion Week. At the same time, in general, Lakbi, since 2003, has been releasing four collections a year - autumn-winter, Christmas, spring and summer.



And a little more about a younger brand from Brest - DeVita. This brand of fashionable women's clothing has existed since 2012. Today, the DeVita brand sells clothes not only in Belarus, but also in the CIS countries.

Within the framework of Belarus Fashion Week, the DeVita brand presented a collection of clothes for the spring / summer 2018 season, divided into two lines - DeVita Sport and Fashion line.



The advantages of the DeVita brand are an affordable price and adherence to global fashion trends.

Thus, these brands are just the same pret-a-porter. What we wrote about above. High-quality, mass-produced, wearable clothing for both the office and the evening out, and for sports. Each brand has its own style. So there is plenty to choose from.

Event # 4.
Permanent designers of Belarus Fashion Week

Fashion Week is growing and developing. But, which is an undoubted indicator of the viability of the project itself, there are designers who take part in Belarus Fashion Week from season to season. Consistency is the best indicator of success.



This season, the “old-timers” of Belarus Fashion Week presented collections of such designer brands as Boitsik, Davidova, Historia Naturalis, TON-IN-TON, T. Efremova. But we will soon have a separate article about the designers who are permanent participants of Belarus Fashion Week and their collections for the spring-summer 2018 season.

Event # 5
Kids' Fashion Day

From season to season, together with the shows of collections of adult clothes, within the framework of Belarus Fashion Week, shows of collections of designer clothes for children are held.



The Kids Fashion Day project is charitable. The only shows for which tickets are sold as part of Belarus Fashion Week are the Kids Fashion Day shows. Moreover, the money raised goes to charity.



Also, in parallel with the shows of children's fashion from season to season, various charity events are held. For example, last season Kids Fashion Day in the fashion show of children's clothes from designer Tatyana Efremova, along with children-models, also children with disabilities took part. And this season, all visitors to Belarus Fashion Week could purchase T-shirts with fashion illustrations made by disabled children.



By the way, in the spring-summer 2018 season, already in the adult collection of designer Tatyana Efremova, there was also an important topic of the problems of people with disabilities. In the collection of the designer, icons were presented, which, among other things, give people with disabilities ample opportunities for interaction and communication.



Kids Fashion Day within Belarus Fashion Week is a real combination of beauty and kindness.
