On April 11-15, Minsk hosted Belarus Fashion Week shows for the fall-winter 2018-2019 season. Our review contains images from the most interesting collections of both women's and men's clothing from Belarusian designers.

TARAKANOVA
The only collection entirely for men

Lyudmila Tarakanov, as always, was at her best. Collections from Tarakanova always inspire and delight. By the way, Lyudmila Tarakanova is the only designer who presented an all-male collection of clothes as part of Belarus Fashion Week this season. And this is not the first men's collection from the designer. In 2017, Lyudmila Tarakanova was awarded the National Belarusian Fashion Prize as the best designer of men's clothing.



The fall-winter 2018-2019 collection was called FLOW - flow. The source of inspiration for the new collection of the TARAKANOVA brand was the images of Russian travelers and discoverers - Nikolai Miklukho-Maclay, Ivan Kruzenshtern, Nikolai Rezanov.

Indeed, the image of a man in clothes from the new collection from Lyudmila is bold, striving forward, courageous. Courageous, despite the elements, as it would seem, of women's clothing.



For example, flared trousers made of light fabric or tight, like leggings, which we are so used to seeing in women's wardrobe. But at the same time, in combination with a voluminous top, such trousers do not make men feminine. Fur coats and fur jackets, which, as if from the female shoulder, migrated to the male shoulders.

However, if we recall the history of the costume, then initially women appropriated men's clothing. So, perhaps, in the future, the fashion wheel will roll in the opposite direction and the collection of the TARAKANOVA brand to some extent anticipates these changes.

Collection fabrics - wool, drape, linen, artificial fur, knitwear, as well as Mogotex fabrics with a water-repellent effect.

Collection dark colors - gray, shades of black and dark brown, yellow ocher, sand.

Basic accessory - voluminous hand-knitted scarves.



Designer Lyudmila Tarakanova has been participating in Belarus Fashion Week shows since 2011. She is also an assistant professor at the Department of Design and Fashion at Vitebsk State Technological University and a member of the Belarusian Union of Designers.

Perfect LAKBI and NELVA

Brest brands LAKBI and NELVA began to take part in Belarus Fashion Week relatively recently. But at the same time, the brands themselves have a long history and are famous for the quality and interesting design of their clothes.

LAKBI

LAKBI brand releases four collections a year. As part of the show at Belarus Fashion Week LAKBI, clothes of the autumn-winter season were presented for both women and men. Moreover, the brand presented its men's collection for the first time.

The colors of the collection are dark - mostly khaki and black. All images are thought out to the smallest detail and if men are invited to wear red socks, then a red scarf is matched to them.



The male looks from LAKBI are generally more relaxed than the female ones. These are mainly casual looks. While for women, the LAKBI brand offers business-style clothing. And these are always very elegant images.

The LAKBI brand was founded in 2003, in 2009 they opened their first store in Moscow. Today LAKBI stores, in addition to Belarus and Russia, are also in Kazakhstan.

NELVA

The NELVA brand also has a long history. The brand was founded in 1998. There are brand stores in Belarus, Russia and Ukraine.

The brand's designer today is Alexander Shitko.

The autumn-winter collection presented by NELVA in the framework of Belarus Fashion Week was called "Modern Heritage", and the source of inspiration for the creation of the collection was the cinema. In general, the images of the collection were associated with the films of the 1930s.

The collection from NELVA traditionally consisted of three blocks - Casual, business and evening collection.



The colors of the collection are blue, burgundy, gray, black, dark green and dark yellow.

Delicate collection from DEVUR / FEMME

DEVUR and FEMME brands jointly presented their first collection as part of Belarus Fashion Week. And the debut was successful.

The name of the collection is “In the labyrinths of color”. The collection turned out to be very feminine and delicate, light and flying. Like pasta cakes. A real delight for those who love color and color combinations.



The collection was dominated by light fabrics, for example, silk dresses. Also, almost all fabrics in the collection are natural.

The multi-layered looks were very interesting as an attempt to combine different styles, for example, sport chic and classics.

In addition to color, the DEVUR / FEMME collection is also remembered for its exquisite prints.



The only thing is that such clothes in our latitudes, if, of course, you do not move around the city in your car, it is completely impossible to wear in winter and late autumn. But for early autumn or spring, especially for spring, gentle images from this collection will be just perfect.

Pink "Blackberry"

The Blackberry brand also took part in Belarus Fashion Week for the first time this season. The collection presented by the brand was the collection of the spring / summer 2018 season. That is, in principle, dresses from "Blackberry" can be worn right now.

The main color of the collection is pink and its shades, mostly powdery. The fabrics are light, the images are romantic. But the most elegant image of the collection is still the only completely black suit.

As always excellent collection from T.Efremova

Tatyana Efremova, like Lyudmila Tarakanova, is a designer with experience and experience, a regular participant in Belarus Fashion Week.

At the same time, shows of collections from T.Efremova are always stories dedicated to a specific topic, and always with show elements.



This season, T.Efremova has presented a collection that combines fashion and technology. This combination is not accidental, because this season's Belarus Fashion Week as a whole was devoted to the topic of modern technologies. Thus, within the framework of Belarus Fashion Week, the Blockchain Fashion Conference was held.



In the collection of Tatiana Efremova, technological LED parts were used. As for the collection itself, quite youthful and modern images were presented on the catwalk - metallic leather jackets, mini-dresses, trouser suits, raincoats.

Fashionable Balunova

Balunova is definitely the most fashionable designer in Minsk today. At least all Belarusian mass media on fashionable topics, as well as bloggers, write only about it.



The collection of the autumn-winter season for the designer of the Balunova brand Larisa Balunova within the framework of Belarus Fashion Week became the debut. The Balunova brand took part in Fashion Week for the first time.

The collection features minimalism and clear lines. The most fashionable colors of this season were used in the collection - emerald green, red-brown and, of course, ultraviolet.



On the catwalk were presented original jumpsuits with lace, knitted dresses, jackets with wide shoulders, trench coats and coats.
