Beauty Contest Miss Belarus - 2012

The beauty contest "Miss Belarus" has been held since 1998, once every two years. The winner of the Miss Belarus beauty pageant gets the right to participate in such an international beauty pageant as Miss Europe. If you win this competition, you can take part in a beauty contest that is a step higher, namely "Miss World". However, participating in the Miss Europe beauty contest since 1995, the Belarusian women did not manage to take the coveted first place. The best result was achieved in 1996, when the 17-year-old Belarusian Elena Shcherbak took the offensive, but no less long-awaited, second place. In the first place was the representative of Great Britain.

Since 1998, the winners of the Miss Belarus contest have been two beautiful girls from the city of Grodno (Svetlana Kruk and Lyudmila Yakimovich, who became Miss Belarus 2010). Also, two winners were from the city of Mogilev (Anna Stychinskaya, Ekaterina Litvinova). Girls from such cities as Brest (Olga Nevdakh), Polotsk (Olga Antropova) and Vitebsk (Olga Khizhinkova) also won the victory.

Castings for members of the national beauty contest Miss Belarus are held in all regions of Belarus. Girls must be between 18 and 24 years old and over 175 cm tall. The standard requirement for beauty contests is that girls must not be married or have children. Participants must also be citizens of the Republic of Belarus.

Miss Belarus - 2012
In September this year, the selection of participants for the Miss Belarus 2012 beauty contest was held. This competition will be organized by the National School of Beauty of the Republic of Belarus and the ONT TV channel. the first casting took place in Grodno, 76 girls took part in it (at the same time, Grodno women stood out for their ability to speak Belarusian beautifully, dances and fashionable swimwear), and the last one in Minsk. So in Minsk, the selection of girls for participation in the national beauty contest took place on September 20. More than two hundred girls came to the casting. They tried to impress the jury members with their appearance, intelligence and talents. And one of the participants even postponed her marriage in order to take part in the competition. The casting consisted of three stages: an acquaintance, a fashion show in swimsuits and a photo session.

Took part in the selection casting (the city of Grodno) and the winner of the competition - the Queen of Fitness of Belarus, Angelica Khurs. With her height of 158 cm, she, of course, could not take part in the competition, but at the same time, having come to the casting, she invited the jury members to arrange a contest "Mini-Miss Belarus" especially for girls of short stature.

According to the rules of the Miss Belarus contest, only 20-28 girls will take part in the final. Choreographers and stylists will preliminarily work with them. The final will be held at the Palace of the Republic, presumably in April-May 2012. The winner will receive a golden crown, which was created specifically for the beauty contest “Miss Belarus” in 2004 and is a rolling one, it is passed from the previous winner to the newly elected one.
