On the streets of Russian cities, you can see more and more bicycles, which are ridden not by children, but by quite adults. This is not surprising, because we live in a time when sports, movement and an active lifestyle are important attributes of a successful life.

Sports and movement are important for life in general, they help to maintain health, therefore buying a bicycle, fitness clubs, jogging in the morning are quite justified. But if ideal conditions are created for fitness, then with bicycles everything is completely different.

In most Russian cities, there are no conditions for cycling, which means that buying a bicycle will create a lot of worries for yourself. You will have to deal with many inconveniences - bad roads, the danger of bike theft, danger on the roads. Moving on the road, you can get hurt, but if you roll on the sidewalks, there is a chance of hurting passers-by, which also threatens trouble.

If you, despite all the difficulties, decided to ride a bike, remember that you must follow the rules, because even in ancient times rules were written for cyclists, some of which sound funny today, but the essence remains the same - you need to follow certain rules.

Many of today's cyclists drive without any rules, then get run over by a car and begin to defend their rights, and if they followed the rules ...

Rules for female cyclists from 1895.

1. Don't be afraid of anything.

2. Don't faint on the road.

3. Don't wear a man's hat.

4. Don't wear garters.

5. Don't forget to bring your tool bag with you.

6. Never forget to take a needle, thread and thimble with you.

7. Do not slide down a steep hill. This is dangerous.

8. Do not wear bright leggings.

9. Never ask - how do you like my leggings?

10. Do not wear jewelry while riding.

11. Do not go to church in your cycling suit.

12. Do not wear white kid gloves.

13. Never use bicycle slang. Leave it to the boys.

14. Do not appear in public places until you know how to ride well.

15. Do not disregard traffic rules just because you are a woman.

16. Don't think that everyone is looking only at you.

Today, most of these rules are irrelevant, but the last three rules will never lose their significance.
